At the Outer Banks
Gee I just found out that Faith's Mom's at the Outer Banks...I wished I could have got to see her. Me and my Mom and Dad just got back and boy did I have fun!!!!
This was my first trip to the OBX and my first swim in the ocean and I learned real quick that that water doesn't taste like a lot of the places me and my Mom and Dad go kayaking - way, way too much salt!!!
But I had a lot of fun and I hope we get to go back there again. I had so much fun that I slept the whole way home and most of the next day too!!!
Here's me on the beach...

Here's me checking out the pool...we doggies weren't allowed in the pool, but don't tell anybody - my Dad let me take a short swim in the shallow part - it was a lot of fun.

Dad and Mom didn't let me go out too far because of the waves. A couple of times they did go over my head, but I didn't care - Dad was right there with me.

Sometimes Dad would go fishing and leave me to spend time with Mom at the pool, but I was always watching for him to come back.

And it was always nice to be able to go back to the house and relax after a day at the beach...

And the last day there, the weather got rainy and the wind blew real hard and the waves were real high and there was red flags flying all along the beach. Me and Dad and Mom went to the beach but they wouldn't let me go in the water.

But a lot of people were still having fun - they were holding on to these strings attached to these things that were zooming all over the sky -it was fun watching those things fly.

I tried to play with this thing, but I think it was asleep or something because no matter how loud I barked at it or jumped and scratched around it, it just wouldn't move. It wasn't nearly as much fun as those things Dad called crabs that came out on the beach at night. I had a lot of fun chasing and running away from them - and there was a ton of those things!!!

Nice trip.
I've been lot of places but never the outer banks... Need to get there someday... Gracie watches for papa like that all the time too..... Thanks for sharing.

LOoks great!! We live in Greensboro, NC about 3 hours away from there. Glad you got to have a good time. lots were worried after Hurricane Irene did some damage there!

Wow Sophie..what a great time you had and for your first piccie I give you my POW and how nice of your mummy and Daddy to take you there...I dont like that Crabby thing..and mummy says it gives her the Willys...Oh Mummys are strange but I guess it would have tasted very yummy in a salad.Thanks for showing me...Luv Nimby x

What a great pictures and from the looks you had so much fun Sofie. We love your pictures
The beach is our favorit place we live real close to the beach. Red flag is very dangerous no one can go in the water but at some places they still go in.We think it is stupid. We are waiting for Mama to get well again and take us .She used to walk 5 miles with Moshe every day nearly. Since I came we only go 3 miles .I am not a walker I rather nap. BOL.

We just found your pictures Sophie and you are such a cutie. From the looks of it you had a great time. We live by the beach and are 2 beach bums.
It is the best place after home.
