Guilty as charged Vote for this post

Forgive us, for we have sinned a great sinned.

This past weekend we had a great fall day, weather wise. All the OK Westie club members were sunny themselves on the patio and having a nice chat about this and that. We can't believe that not one of us notice a big red tail squirrel had come into our yard and was burying pecan nuts about 15' from us. He was there long enough to bury several nuts. It wasn't until he sat up and looked at us straight in the eye that we realized he was there. Then the chase was on, Mr. squirrel made it to the fence and with a final flick of his tail he was gone. We did go and dig up all the nuts he buried, but the damage was done, our reps as great squirrel chasers is gone. Never before had a squirrel ever thought about coming into our yard while we were outside.  The worse part was that Mom and Dad witnessed the whole thing. We are greatfull that dad didn't get his video camera and film it.

Those little nut crackers can sneak by even the most diligent yard patrol terrier. It happens to me all the time OKWestieClub. I just use my excuse that being a senior cairn I have hand-i-caps beyond my control...teehee
