At 4 weeks Vote for this post

Our first visit today couldn't hold them but we could look. She is very sweet and sleepy. I did get a choice (I've never chosen before), she is the breeders favourite. She was one of 4, 2 boys and 2 girls.

Next visit is December 27th and we get to have a play.

Matilda's nose was stuck to my leg when I got home, could smell the pups Mum.

She is certainly adorable. We will all be waiting for the 27th and your play date to see which one chooses you Diana ;)  I'm sure Matilda's curiosity will be peaked, do you think she's anticipating a playmate?

Excited for you, Theo

Thanks Theo. We had to pick which pup we wanted on Saturday luckily I was there first and so I got first choice. Although it was a little hard to chose when they are so tiny and so sleepy.

Matilda stepped on something the other day while out walking so she's is wearing the cone of shame as the guy at the vet said today. She has been licking the spot under her pad and today was walking with her leg out in front of her so I took her to see Kent and he had a good look and said there's nothing in there but quite a bit of redness and inflammation so no walks for a few days, tablets for 2 weeks and the cone of shame. She has been really quiet since we got home.

I think a puppy will be so good for her. Up until the chix passed she was never alone and I've found she has become quite clingy. Given I work 5 days a week it will give her an interest. She played a lot with Hannah, a little with Kelsi. I can't even walk out of the room without her squeaking at me as I don't let them up into the carpeted areas (only the bedrooms are carpeted).

Thanks, they were all gorgeous and it was quite interesting to hear the other couple deliberate over the 2 boys. It was interesting as @ that age they are sleeping a lot and not exactly running around all over the place so it wasn't obvious which male puppy was more playful. By the next visit they may feel differently but by then it may be too late.

I had first choice of the 2 girls and asked which one did she think would gel with Matilda, not that it would be a issue as Matilda is sweet natured. When Priscilla said that one of them was particularly cuddly I chose her as Matilda isn't overly cuddly, loves to be greeted but is happier with all 4 paws on the ground. Then when she said she would look more like her Mum that clinched it for me as Callie is just gorgeous (she is from an earlier litter than Matilda but has the same parents). When I first met Matilda I could have quite easily smuggled Callie home with me.
