Quick trip Vote for this post

I went to the cabin on Saturday with my brother to burn off a big brush pile. I sure enjoyed using the wood stove again, I really miss it when I'm here at home. Got the job done, took about 6 hours and it was a cool but lovely day. We saw a pair of Bald Eagles, one red squirrel and a few Chickadees.

We got home late this afternoon just as freezing rain was starting up. It's been real nasty out this evening with gusty winds and snow/ freezing rain as I'm trying to get caught up in all my emails and news from around the terrier world heheheee

I'll try to get caught up tomorrow on all the Christmas posts,
hugs to all, Theo

You must me somewhat near me.

I'm in Central New York (near Syracuse) and it's crazy here right now. Wind, freezing rain - I'm just hoping we don't lose power tonight!

Sounds great. I'd never seen a squirrel until I went to England, I had seen them on tv but never in the wild so to speak.

That wood fire sounds devine Theo, there's nothing like it for warming your body and soul! Oh, and seeing a pair of eagles--no matter how many I see, they still give me goosebumps--such a magnificent sight to see! Glad to hear that you made it home before the storm hit and hoping that all of you in the path of the ice are safe, snug, and warm. We got some sleet, but the storm missed us for the large part.
Love, Deb, Emmie, and Angel Kelsie

It's so nice to have a get-away and extra special you got to see Bald Eagles, squirrels and chicks.Sorry you are getting the winds and freezing rains.
Getting another snow storm here in the morning but had beautiful clear sunny skies today which has been missing for days.

We agree there is nothing than a real fire to warm the body. So glad you had a very good day and seeing a bald eagle how exciting.
So glad we do not have weather like you drove through. It was 84 degrees here and sunny at the beaches here. The air condition is still on but we expect colder weather this weekend. Looking forward wearing my knee high boots for a change. It never last long here the sun is out most of the time.
Be careful in freezing rain. Stay save.
