Wow, I just looked on the weather map and looks like a huge system going to hit the eastern USA...  looks treacherous!

Batten down the hatches and be safe everyone.

It's all going south of me.

It's crazy. We've had very minimal snow here, and normally I live in Central New York snow country! I am usually on the fringes of that delightful phenomena known as lake effect snow. I don't think we've had more than 6 inches all winter - which we normally get in the first snowfall of the year!

It's even harder for those poor folks in Virginia to cope with 2 feet of snow because they just don't have the amount of snow removal equipment like we do in the north. 2 feet of snow would be a major event here too, but they'd have roads cleared within hours of the snow ending.

We are not all that far from you. Just a couple of hours east and the storm is missing us as well. There has been very little snow here this year, but it's been pretty cold. I'm OK with NOT a lot of snow! We almost moved to North Carolina, but now I'm glad we didn't go there. Granted, we usually get this bad weather, but I enjoy a break from it!

Weatherman is saying 12-16 inches of snow for us and high winds--blizzard conditions, and I'm not looking forward to it! As bad as that sounds, they're getting hit a lot worse south of us with up to 2 feet of snow. Saying prayers that all are safe in the path of this nor'easter!

You got that right! The winter is not over yet. We missed this storm in Illinois. I am sure we will get hit soon. Everyone be careful and take care. Louise, Caesar and Angel Murphy at the Bridge

I'm in Manassas,VA about 30 miles south of DC.  I've got just over 2 feet..  Will be digging out for some time.  Been thru these before and we just do what we need to to do.  My only issue is I'm running out of space to put the snow.  Snow mounds are higher than I am.
