Patti and Molly Vote for this post

Our dear ans wonderful friend, Patti had to let her precious Molly go today.  The timing is amazing, as she picks up her new little girl Allie, tomorrow.  Pardon my typing...I can't see through the tears.

Everyone told Patti that she would know, when it was time....and she did..

Molly lived a wonderful life and now lives on in the hearts of Patti and Steve and all of us, who love them.

RIP, sweet Molly.....please get acquainted with my Jolly...you both have so much in common for having been loved so much.

Hugs,
Jeanie and Annabel

Thank you for sharing the sad news with us. I think Molly chose when it was time to go. She knew her mom would be OK with a new puppy to make her smile. Run free Molly! Lots of love to Patti.

I've been dreading the news that sweet Molly received her wings, but knew that one day we'd hear it. Run free little one and say hello to my Angel Kelsie and all the other TC Angels. My heart goes out to Patti and Steve--it's a bittersweet time for them--missing Molly and welcoming a new puppy into their family.
Love, Deb, Emmie, and Angel Kelsie

Hugs and prayers for Patti. Such a difficult decision to make and the hardest way to show love and devotion. I'm glad their new pup comes tomorrow.

How I dreaded hearing this.  Fly free of pain Molly, you'll be greeted at the Bridge by all the TC puppers that went before you. We know you'll be watching over your Mom and Dad and little sister Allie.

Patti and Steve, you are in my thoughts, you've been wonderful pawrents to Molly and I know our words can't ease your pain, but I'm sure Allie will be keeping you busy and help your hearts to heal.

Much love, Theo

Jeanie thank you for letting us know about Molly.  I knew this day would come but you are never ready for it when it does arrive.  My prayers go out to Patti and Steve on the loss of their sweet Molly.   There is a saying:   "Until one has loved an animal, a part of one's soul remains unawakened."  Patti and Steve you knew such love in Molly.  She will be part of your soul forever!  Love Louise, Caesar and Angel Murphy at the Bridge welcoming Molly

Re: Patti and Molly Vote for this post Reply to this Message Reply with a quote

I love you guys. Seriously, love you. So many messages brought me to tears.

Molly got us to Allie. She knew Allie was coming, and somehow she hung in there, with a face full of cancer, until we were less than 24 hours away from Allie.

The night before we let her go, she was very restless all night long. The tumor had grown so much she couldn't really breathe well through her nose anymore and she kept waking herself up snoring/not being able to breathe well. The next morning when we got up she didn't want any breakfast, which was very rare for her.

Steve got her a McDonalds cheeseburger and she ate that so we got her pills down her, and we hoped that would be enough to perk her up.

But an hour or so later, she crawled under a desk. And just laid there and stared at us. Didn't want to come out. So we took her outside and she just laid down in the grass. And we started crying and knew it was time.

So I called the vet and we took her in. And we said goodbye.

We brought her home, and Steve buried her out back. I can see her looking out the kitchen window. We're going to build a memorial garden for her in the spring.

I can never thank all of you enough, for how much you helped me through this. So many messages here brought me to tears so many times, but you always made me feel supported and loved, and understood. You are all dog people, and I love you all.

I am in tears as I write this.
I am so sorry for your loss.
Dear Molly put up a good fight though.
And she almost made it to see Allie.
I hate cancer, cancer sucks and I look forward
to the day that there is a cure for all cancers
and hopefully even a vaccine.
I know how heartbreaking it is to lose a beloved pet
Iver was my heart dog, best friend and reason for me living.
When he passed away I cried a little bit
but to tell you the truth I was very relieved.
He was so sick with that damned Cushing's disease
and his own immune system had attacked him
and gave him bad allergies that he chewed all the fur
off his legs and also made him blind.
And then somehow he broke his back and couldn't
move his back legs.
I had to carry him out to do his business
and hold up his rear end so he could go.
Yes I was relieved when he passed away
because I know he went to Heaven where God
restored his health and his youth.
And I know someday Iver and I will be reunited in Heaven
and be with each other for eternity and I thank
and praise God for the love he gives us.
Patti, I am glad we were all here for you
in your loss of Molly.
We have all been through what you have gone through
I am so glad you and Steve got Allie because
she will help get you through the sad days
and she will be a new source of love for you.
She will never replace Molly but she will
be a new source of enjoyment and love.
I got Sailor because I knew Iver's days were numbered
and I knew I couldn't live without a Westie in my life.
I am sorry that Iver and Sailor only tolerated each other.
Iver and Sailor never played like I hoped they would.
When Iver passed away I had Sailor to help me
through the sad days.
I never loved Sailor the way I loved Iver.
Sailor was more of a friend.
I have had Sailor for 9 years now and sometime
in our journey together I have come to love Sailor
nearly as much as I loved Iver.
I hope one day that Allie will come to mean
as much to you as Molly did.
Hugs for you, Steve and Allie.

Suzie, Toby and I send you our deepest sympathies, lots of gentle hugs and healing thoughts.  Our time with them is never long enough.  Molly knew what you needed and she has left you in good paws - Allie.  I trust my dogs to let me know.  I believe they have sent to me all my family members.  Molly, we will never forget you - you live forever in our hearts.

Patti, I am so very sorry to hear of Molly's passing.  Hopefully it brings you a measure of peace to know that she is in a better place and no longer suffering.

I am sure that the new pup will more than keep you busy.  It's been many years since I've had a puppy in the house, as most of our adoptees have been at least 2 or more.  But I do know that they will more than occupy you, until they grow up enough to learn the rules!  In the meantime, enjoy every minute.
