security system on stand by Vote for this post

Here I am  watching and waiting. It's a visit from the mailman entering my doman. Mom sees me excited pacing. I want to ask her,"how can you stay so calm at a time like this?" Someone is at the door.
I don't go all crazed at his visit like some doggies...barking wild. I patiently wait waggin' my tail, sounding some low grunts and grumbles.
All I really want from the encounter is to wet the wheels on his mail truck.Too bad there is no way to get past this glass window.

Would like to know if your terrier gets worked up
when the mail comes?
Please..Share your stories friends and peepers.

Found some excited doggies getting rid of junk mail
You would think they are taking on their worse enemy, funny how they react.

Iver loved to bark at dogs and horses on TV
He also used to bark when strangers would walk past his windows
When we moved to Lacey, WA, I lived in an apartment
that was surrounded by undeveloped woods.
My apartment was on the back of the building edged by a narrow
strip of grass that the deer used to come out of the forest to graze on.
Iver would go nuts barking at them while I was at work
He barked at them so much that the upstairs neighbor complained
to management, but here there are no laws against barking dogs
during the day. The manager told me the neighbor complained
so I went upstairs and explained to him what Iver was barking at
and all he had to do to stop Iver was to step out on his balcony
and chase the deer away.
This worked for about a month and one day the neighbor
came downstairs and told me that during the day Iver was barking
so he went out onto his balcony to chase the deer away
only this time it was a bear.
That's what comes with living near a forest, all kinds of wild life.

Millie barks at anyone (person or dog) that even looks at our house.  She especially likes to bark at her reflection in the front door.  Pretty cute, but annoying!!  When she starts barking, no amount of scolding or "NO" will work.  It's kind of a problem :(
She does love to watch tv and loves anything with dogs in it.  My husband is a hunter, and if we put it on an Outdoor Channel show, she goes nuts....not barking, but whining and just beside herself with excitement. She even runs around the corner, as if the animals run off the TV screen and down the hallway!

They are sure funny!

Samantha

Sir William goes nuts over just about anything that moves on the TV. Sometimes just the music gets his attention and he looks for something to move.
My Dad had one of my Welsh and he just had to say "US MAIL" and she would go nuts!!!!!

Love Sir William ^--^ and Allen

Maddie is a heathen when the postman comes to the gate if a parcel needs signing for. She's inside behind the window barking, did it yesterday and had Izz do it too. Brat!

The lady said when she came the other day, she couldn't work out how to unlatch the gate to leave the parcel on the door step (it's not hard) she said all 4 were lined up on the back of the couch watching her thru the window. Mollie and Foster were here too.

Molly hated the UPS truck. I think it was the sound of the engine. She never minded the little white postal service jeeps that deliver our mail here, but for some reason that brown UPS truck sent her into a frenzy.

Allie is just 5 months old now, and just within the last week hit her second fear stage. She's barking at everything and anything right now. It's so cute, she's still got her little puppy voice and I don't find it annoying to listen to her little puppy bark. UPS came to our house just last night when I was outside walking her and she found that brown truck pretty scary. Unfortunately the guy driving it wasn't really friendly either - I would have loved to see him pet her and make her realize it was nothing to be scared of.

It seems like robin and Presley know what time of day our mailman  because

they both get up from the nap ,place them selves on either side of window and wait and at the same time let me  know that someone is on your porch. when he leaves they go back to sleep
