Nimble is no better Vote for this post

Nimble still has her cough albeit intermittently, its worse very early in the morning when she is on the bed ie 4-5pm then I get up!..she is eating and drinking fine and pooping ok,Peter is taking Andrew out in the car for a wee walk somewhere this morning as its going to be a hot day but I feel Nimby must stay here with me at home, she is safer and calmer resting still although she is bored I am sure as she loves her car trips and adventures, she is still on Noroclav tablets and this morning I did give her a very weeny bit of honey....The vet had said if she is no better after this weekend then to ring tomorrow and we will possibly have to XRay to establish if it is Bronchitis...has anyone any experience with their dog and Bronchitis,ie how or if it can be managed and can the cough be stopped,I do not use any plug ins or smelly things candles etc in the home and the doors are always open for them to come in and go in the garden when they like...nothing is any different for her to what is normal and no different floor cleaners ...the house is kept clean and good hoovering...its such a shame to hear her coughing, she is such a Jolly little girl,I had to go to the town yesterday morning and Peter was at home with the dogs and when I was in one shop I was almost in tears all of a sudden with the sadness for her being this way....I am sure everyone here knows what that feeling is like!...will get some pictures of her in the garden today and put them on later and of course of Brother Andrew....Who,so far is doing well on his leg..but has been calm and only the odd short walk as hot here...How is Matthews leg I wonder?...any more news..Hugs Annie and Gang  xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Bless her little heart, I'm sure you're worried sick about Nimby...I've never had a dog with bronchitis but I've had it several times and we had a cat with it a long time ago. The meds for the cat and me were the same--antibiotics and plenty of rest and fluids. You know we are keeping her in our prayers and Emmie and I will be looking for an update. Give her a big kiss and hug from us.
Love, Deb, Emmie, and Angel Kelsie

My terrier mix, Sophie, has had COPD, or chronic bronchitis, for going on 4 years now.  She was a stray when the rescue group found her, so I have no background on her health issues, but I had never before had a dog with bronchitis.   Sophie will cough when she runs or moves around much...she is now 15 and showing no signs of slowing down.  The vet has had her on a low dose of prednisone (every other day) as well as a heavy-duty cough suppressant.

I hope for your sake that this is not what your pup has, because while it is manageable, it is a constant daily issue.  Feel free to PM me and I'll help in any way that I can.

Sherrie
