A better photo of Bentley Vote for this post

Little man! He is coming along beautifully. This dog is so good. Also, I took him to the vet on Friday. The vet discontinued the Prozac & Xanax and Bentley has done really well. He is playful, alert, has a good appetite, normal poopies & pee-pees... He enjoys going for walks. The neighbor's love him, he has met so many new dogs. Tonight he met my Mom & Dad. I just love him to pieces. I am so lucky to have this old guy in my life. Darcy is just a blessing to him.

Teresa, he's gorgeous. Sounds like a perfect match. Do you still have your name down with Rescue?

The condo association bylaws allow me to have only 2 pets. I notified CPCRN of my situation with Bentley. They expressed disappointment of course, but they were also expressed that they were happy a senior dog found a forever home. I would highly recommend adoption through them. They are a class act.

Maybe next time. Our council has rules 2 dogs per house, but I had 3, I just registered Maddie @ my parents place, they never check on it here. I already had Kelsi and Hannah registered here. Mum and Dad had 3 dogs for more than 5 years, registered one @ David's. You can have 3 if you get the permission of your surrounding neighbours and pay for a special permit and an ongoing fee etc but it's a hassle to arrange.

Teresa, what breed is he? Sounds as though he has settled in well and quickly, his previous owner must be pleased she found a good home for him.

Bentley is a Yorkshire Terrier. I do not think he would have settled in this quickly without the help of my other dog Darcy. She played a big part in calming him down. She was gentle with him, a calm & confident presence

He has started to play with her a bit... She had been inviting that with play bows ever since he got here. His previous owner came to see him Friday night. She was very glad to see that he is thriving. Quite a few dog people (including her) thought that the scent of her now-deceased husband throughout the house (plus her stress) was really stressing Bentley out. Looking back, I can see that too. His personality is starting to come forth.

If his previous owner was stressed no doubt he picked up on that and it had a negative affect on him.

Great that Darcy now has new little buddy, look forward to hearing more about him. Maybe a photo of them together??

Thank you... It feels as if there was an unexpected tornado of activity & that he fell from the sky & into our home. It has been exhausting to get to where we are, but our routine is unfolding in a very good way.

Bentley is a very lucky boy to land in your home. He is a cutie I saw right away that he is a Yorkie because our daughter has one and we have a few here too .
That is great news that he is playful. So happy for you all.it must have been a match made in heaven that he has now such a loving home.
Will read up on him I was without TV ,phone and WFI. It was just turned on.
So glad he is doing so well.
Love,Levi,angel Moshe and Yoka
