New snuggle puppies in residence Vote for this post

I bought Maddie and Izzy new snuggle puppies, Maddie has already set eyes on hers on the fridge and wants him, Izzy will get her new one once she's over the chewing stage.

Maddie's current one still has ears and no tail, but Izzy's has no ears and no tail (see below) and the latter one is the new one.

Maddie and Izzy still sleep in different rooms so Maddie's new snuggle puppy should be safe of a night, just need to pick it up of a day.

It will be Maddie's 3rd snuggle puppy, the first one she pulled out his fur from under his chin and some threads so he was bit sad and sorry, but her 2nd one she has been great with, she adores him, she snuggles up with him each night and sometimes during the day if she takes a nap. I tried to give her Hannah and Kelsi's dalmatian snuggle puppies but for some reason they are just not the same and she won't have a bar of them. This new one seems to feel similar to her old one.

Below is one of the new ones.

Kelsi and Hannah had the Dalmatian snuggle puppies and they washed well, they don't look quite as good as the original photo now  (below) but still in great condition but Maddie is just not interested. Not sure why!

Maybe it's like the time we tried to substitute other turtles for Hannah's original buddy Tommy the turtle, she had him from age 7 months to when she passed last November aged 14. He endured many spins in the washing machine and dryer and was recovered quite a few times, she adored him but would not accept a substitute.

This was Hannah and her beloved TT on the night Kelsi passed away and not long before Hannah left us.

They're just like little kids--they have their favs and won't take any substitutions!

Maddie and Izzy seem to like the rougher coated Snuggle Puppies and I am sure once their new ones have a few spins in the washing machine and dryer they will look a little less pristine.

I got the first one when Kelsi was fairly young and I also bought one for Hannah, we ended up with a few, Kelsi and Hannah were partial to the Dalmatian variety. I bought Maddie her own brown mutt snuggle puppy and she loved him and wore him out, she was a little rough on him. Izzy has been rougher still removing both ears and tail from hers and the tail from Maddie's. I've never bothered with the little red beating heart that comes with them or the heat pack. Both Izzy and Maddie got them as small pups and when they get into bed of a night they lay their head across the top of the snuggle puppy like it's a cushion. Maddie tends to lick hers so they get a regular trip to the laundry.

My girls have too many toys. I went thru the baskets (2) of toys the other day and got rid of the ones that are looking sad.... I kept a couple of Hannah's favourites, Tommy the turtle, the teddy bear she came home with as a puppy and a small duck that she loved, it didn't squeak but it was just big enough to carry around in her mouth. Kelsi's favourites were the Dalmatian snuggle puppies although she quite liked the large plush alligator, she didn't come with any teddy or toy. Maddie came with a pink moose I think it was but has no real interest in it, she prefers the snuggle puppies and any plush squeaky toy. Izzy loves her snuggle puppy and any squeaky toy she came home with a ball. They love balls, especially small.

I've got some of the interactive plush toys, such as sheep in a pen (see photo below), horses in a barn, squirrels in a log, bunnies in a carrot, bunnies in a slipper and they did have chickens in a slipper but Maddie ruined the slipper. Izzy has chewed some of the ears off the bunnies in a slipper. I especially like the squirrels in a log, I pack them all in the log and Izzy pulls them out so I put them back in and it just goes on and on. Izzy plays with these toys a lot, Maddie prefers to just shake them, actually Izzy does that too maybe she is hoping they will fall out.

Oh this toy is cute and what fun they could have with it. I loved reading all about your girls and their snuggle puppies.I just recently got Willie a plush Moose. I've caught him giving it kisses many times and he likes to snuggle it close when he naps.

This toy is up on the fridge came home today to find Izzy had chewed 2 of the hooves off it, little brat!! She is much harder on toys than Maddie. She can play with the squirrels in the log (she doesn't chew on them) until she is past that need to chew stage,
