Maddie & her Thunder Shirt Vote for this post

I've been waiting patiently for a day to try out Maddie's thunder shirt and today was the day. It has been so windy here today, had to prop up the lattice work on the fence and the wind was so strong it splintered our daisy bush off at the base.

I was a little skeptical but so far it seems to have work, seems a little more @ ease, still hiding but not running around anxiously. Izzy seems a little more bomb proof.

Maddie wasn't an anxious puppy but I did notice a change in her when her 'sisters' Kelsi and Hannah passed away (she was 14 months) she became clingy, anxious and would constantly look around when we went for a walk. For awhile I was unable to walk her and when we started again she became quite anxious, looks around behind us all the time, a dog barks behind the fence and she either stops to look for it or wants to run away. She loves meeting dogs and people face to face, just not fond of dogs barking that she cannot see.

She is such a little beauty Diana and so good that the thunder coat is helping her anxiety. When Emily passed away I noticed Maddie and Willie stop barking for a long period. After Maddie passed away Willie nearly never barks unless he sees a critter in the yard. Losing their play mates takes it's toll like your Maddie with losing Kelsi and Hannah. I hope the thunder coat comforts her making her feel less anxious during the storms.
Voted POW for her adorable picture.

Thank you, she has a gorgeous face, but won't often look at me when I am holding my iPhone or camera. She did settle down considerably, I took it off later in the day as I really just wanted to see if it worked.

She is a real beauty Diana.

So glad to read that it seems to help her and she might get more comfortable wearing it later on..

Our Levi is also always looking around him all the time.. He used to want to run home when we would be outside.

He has come a long way but stays scared.
