Late call from vet. Vote for this post

We got a call  last night.from the vet. He had sent a clean sample from her bladder to a lab.
Still good news no cancer, but there was still blood showing in this sample and no one not even the lab can understand where the blood is coming from.

Now with all the meds. she has been taking it has killed off even the good bacteria and she's getting all black around her private parts. But dealing with rescues many years ago I know a bit about that.
So I ordered the special shampoo called Malaseb , the rinse and the wipes and all.

Have taken night veggies out of her diet. This skin thing I can deal with but the blood and not knowing why, is scaring me,

So if anyone has any information or has been through this or knows something about blood in the urine, please let me know.
I know and trust my vet but he is human and they do miss things.
Hug your little ones, Furkids and none Furkids.

Oh Eve, so very good to hear Phoenix doesn't have cancer.
I have so many friends on Westies Unite that have lost their pups
to bladder cancer. So glad to hear Phoenix does not have that.

But I will continue to pray for her bleeding.
Very sorry but I have no other idea about blood in the urine
other than an infection and you said she is on antibiotics.
All I have is prayers and I will ask fervently for God to help

I'm afraid I have no idea either...What I do know is that God answers prayers--not always in the way we'd like or as fast as we'd like, but He's there for us when we need Him. I will continue to keep all of you in my prayers and hope for some good updates.
Love, Deb, Emmie, and Angel Kelsie

Could it be a urinary infection or inflammation? I did some research when Kelsi had a small amount in her urine.

Maybe a second opinion would be best. Good luck with Phoenix

I did put a call in for the vet that took care of Faith to call us when he comes back on Thursday, so maybe he has an idea.

I'm not familiar with this in dogs but when I was a teenager the same thing happened to me.  They ran all kinds of tests and couldn't figure it out.  Finally took a look inside and it was from a small tumor in the bladder.  Not cancerous.  Took it out and I've been fine since.  Hope they figure out what is going on with Phoenix so she'll feel better and put your mind at ease.

Forever Elliot's Kay

I have been using Malaseb shampoo for a very long time now and I also use it on Winter. Levi had such terrible soars from allergies and this cleared it up so well that we continue to use it. Winters hair is growing in now very nice and they keep clean and smelling great.
Hope they find out were the blood is coming from Eve. We will continue to pray for Phoenix.
