Prayers needed for Charlie Vote for this post

Hi everyone my Mummy and Judah would like to tell you about a pup named Charlie. Charlie is a 8 month old Westie puppy rescued by St. Louis Scottish Terrier Rescue.  That is the same rescue Judah and Angel Murphy came from.  Charlie was a Christmas present that did not fit!!!!! StLSTR was able to rescue him.  When his foster Mom took him to the Vet to get this beautiful little boy checked out the Vet heard a heart murmur.  This past Tuesday she brought him to a Cardiologist.  The Cardiologist did an ultrasound on his heart and it showed a hole in his heart.  The good news is his heart can be fixed and he should live a good life!  Charlie acts like a healthy pup which is also good.  If you go on St. Louis Scottish Terrier Rescue Facebook site you can read all about him and see his pictures.  StLSTR will be having updates on his progress.  His foster Mom is having to keep Charlie quiet which  means he can't chase chippies and squirrels.  He is in good hands right now and we hope our Terrier Club friends will keep him in their prayers and keep their paws crossed for him.  Love Mummy, Caesar, Judah and Angel Murphy

Bless his little heart (literally!) We'll add Charlie to our prayer chain and look for updates as he progresses with his treatment--surgery??? Praying this little boy gets better quickly and finds a loving home. I'm sure his foster Mommy has her hands full keeping him quiet. Westie and quiet should never be used in the same sentence! :)

Prayers on the way.

May Charlie have the good luck our Phoenix has. She was 8 months old when the vet told us she had a  hole in her heart and had to be kept still, Not a easy job.

Later Phoenix was put on a water pill because of fluid building up around her heart.
What a difference, she is still on the water pill but is  3 months away from being 16  years old..
Again prayers on the way.

Eve that is wonderful story about Phoenix.  Lots of this depends on where the defect is and how big it is.  My first Scottie boy Spencer had a terrible heart murmur that was also found when he was about the same age.  By the way I found it not my Vet.  Needless to say I found a new Vet!!!!  It was not a septal defect but a pulmonic issue.  He lived a very happy life and did not have to be on any medications for it until he turned 15yrs old.  He crossed the bridge at 16 1/2 yrs. of old age.  We will see.  He has my prayers for sure.  Louise, Caesar, Judah and Angel Murphy

David I don't have that answer yet.  They will work with the Cardiologist and Vet Centers to do with they feel is best for him.  I can tell you this they are a wonderful rescue group and have saved and found wonderful homes for many dogs who have been much sicker then Charlie.  They have a large group of people who support them physically and also raise a lot of money to help these rescues.  I can tell you this little guy will be loved and well taken care off.   Louise, Caesar, Judah and Angel Murphy

Poor Charlie he is in my prayers.Hope he comes through surgery and lives a very happy long life.
Our Toujour had a large hole in his heart. He was a Belgian Shepard. He was given to us by a neighbor. When he went to the vet the vet told us that he had a very large hole in his heart. We was told to give the dog back! We knew what they would do to him and we kept him. He lived for 6 years. He was such a sweet dog!
We also had a Collie our son gave him to us his Papa was a champion and he was the runt. I was only ones upset with him he used to whip out all my geraniums out of the pots. Lol.
Hope and pray Charlie will get through this very well!!
Love,Levi,Winter and angel Moshe
