Phoenix Vote for this post

Still waiting for lab results to come back. I'm getting so upset I went to my Dr. He always ask about the girls and as soon as he heard about Phoenix he said he knew what was wrong with me. .....  He talked to me about the girls and about losing them, Then he talked to me about getting another small dog so I would not feel so lost when Phoenix passed over.   ......I know why he said to do this but I can't, not as long as my Phoenix needs me..... To see her stagger when she walks, To see her jerk while sleeping, or breath really fast. We have to be there when she needs us......Sometimes she even wakes up in the middle of the night and wants to eat something, if it come a time that the middle of the night is the only time she feels like eating, we will get up and feed her......With a puppy or another dog I'm afraid it would take our time away from Phoenix and we have to do ever thing we can for her , just like she did for Faith. Please say a prayer for all of us.

Eve, you know your heart and you know that the time you have with Phoenix is precious and something that you need to do. If and when the time comes that you want another dog, you'll know. Till then, enjoy every minute, thank God for the time you have with her, and know that you are all in our prayers.
Love, Deb, Emmie, and Angel Kelsie

Eve,Its with tears I read this and know how you will be feeling,I agree with you,we are all different but I would also want to spend the time with Dear Phoenix and not get another pupper yet and you do not need the added stress of adding another wee sister and settling her in..or a wee boy for that matter and Phoenix would not want you to do that yet I am sure. Its heart breaking I know when we watch over them day and night and for every little movement and want that they ask for...The middle of the night seems worse somehow but we  do it  for them for as long as we have them with us and  you are the best mum  any dog could ever wish for so Love,Care  and hold Phoenix as you have always done for her...Please know you are all in our hearts and we send Big Prayers for you to have much more time together...Stay in touch when you can.All our Love Annie and Gang  xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I agree with the others now is not the time. Phoenix needs all your attention and care. It was hard for me when Kelsi got so sick with pneumonia as I had Hannah and Matilda (then 12 months) at home to look after as well as working full-time. I will say when they passed within 7 1/2 weeks of one another I was thankful that I had Matilda to concentrate on. But then I didn't get her while my other 2 was sick.

Please give Phoenix a hug for me, and be kind to yourself.

Eve, I think your doctor meant well and he understands how much pain you are in dealing with Phoenix, and you are his main concern. I am sure he wanted to ease your pain as it will be taking it's toll on your health as well.

I understand you though, that this is not the time to add to the family with another furchild, you are the only one who will know when and if the time is right to do that. I am glad that Ed has made up the Golden Paste and I pray that Phoenix will have wonderful results with it.

Healing prayers going out for Phoenix and hugs and love to you, Ed and Tillie,

Eve we a so sorry that Phoenix is in such discomfort. I know all to well the feelings you are going through.

I would not get another dog cause as you said it would take away from your time with her. There will be enough time for a new one when the time comes to let her go.

We will keep you and her in our thoughts and prayers.

May  God bless you both.

Love Riley and Allen
