Westie Christmas Find Vote for this post

Always have my radar up for anything westie or cairn in the stores.
I was out shopping yesterday and bought these cute mugs at Burlington Coat Factory for only $4.99. They are wrapped with a pack of Hot Chocolate mix inside. I couldn't resist getting one each of the westie and the cairn/scottie mugs.

This will be my first Christmas in 18 years without a little terrier in our home. It's been a rough sad year since losing the last of our little trio pups Mr.Willie. As I do every year I hang these little ornaments on the tree that have their names on them. Each year I'd hold Willie up to them and we'd talk about his sisters. Now all three are at Rainbow Bridge. Christmas will never be the same without them with us.I'm left with many wonderful memories though.

Love your picture with the pups hanging on the tree. How cute Sandra. Do you think some day you might want a new dog to love?
Please take care,

I have 4 of these little dogs, and I know how it hurts as each one crosses over the bridge to go home, Prayers with all of us.

I understand how you feel.  This will be a lonely Christmas without Bonnie and Keeley.  I just had to mail in my paper that I receive every year to order their dog licenses.  I had to indicate that they were deceased .  I started filling up when I had to do that.

I understand how you're feeling Sandra. That first Christmas without a beloved furbaby is just brutal. Putting all those Westie ornaments on the tree just about did me in the Christmas after we lost Kelsie. I can enjoy the memories now but I still tear up when I put her ornaments on the tree.

Mary that must of just broke your heart. I had to do the same this year and it brought tears.

Deb , yes just as you mentioned,. It is a sweet and sad time putting up Christmas ornaments now that all my babies are not with me. I had so much fun watching them get excited with the Christmas trimmings coming out of the boxes. Willie tipping the tree with his reindeer antlers trying to get them off his head.I enjoyed preparing those TC pictures for the yearly xmas card exchange. Lots of fun we had and good memories.

Awww....Miss Nimby Sue you are definitely Willie's love bug forever and ever. I'm sure he looks across the clouds to you blowing kisses and wishing you fun times and tail wags and missing going on adventures with you.You made his last years on TC the happiest times ever!!
Annie I have thoughts of getting another cairn..but my heart is just not ready yet. Maybe a little more time and my arms can be ready to hold and my heart open to another pup. Always have you and the gang in my thoughts. Love and hugs Sandra

Those mugs are a great find.

I have lots of westie ornaments and wood ones with Boomer and Sir William's names on them and i could not get myself to hang them.

I do not have one for Riley yet but I will look out for some.

Donna and I have not been to craft shows because she is just starting to get around.

I miss my boys and think of them often and how each one had his own way of staying in my heart.

Every time wherever I go I see a rubber duckie I think about Mr Willie,

Love Riley and Allen
