It;s been different.
It's been different having Max, he is so sweet, loves playing with toys, always ready to cuddle. But we got a shock concerning the puppy pads .As some know my girls were trained to use these pads if needed when we had to go shopping or what ever. Well Max ripped his up and I mean he ripped it up real good. He also played in his water dish, now I have never seen this happen before, but when we came home we found Max had something sticky like white sticky strings on his nose and face that was very hard to remove. I checked him and the pads over and found out that this sticky stuff came from the pad. Well to be safe, we now have the cloth pads with the leak proof backing, I'm sure if I checked I would find out the puppy pad even when ripped was safe, but I don't feel safe using them now. Well it's getting late and time to put the sleepy Max to bed. Take care everyone.

Re: It;s been different.
Emmie destroyed puppy pads when she was a baby--had to rely on good old newspapers which worked out great anyway. We took soiled newspapers out to a corner of the garden and she started going there to do her business when she was out!Love, Deb, Emmie, and Angel Kelsie

Re: It;s been different.
Riley also ate his we we pads.Even if I put bitter apple on it. He use to carry his water dish in his mouth and spill water all over. We always crated him when we were out and still do.
Every pupper is different and training eventually worked.
Love Riley and Allen

Re: It;s been different.
I used the pee pads with my first 2 and Hannah did the same would rip them up but fortunately never ended up with any sticky stuff on her. With my 2nd pair I used what they call the dog toilet, fake turf on a tray and that worked much better for my girls. Hannah always was splashed around like a duck in the water bowl so does Matilda. I bought a raised water bowl for inside so Matilda saves her splashing around for outside now, although I did have to stop her a few times inside when she tried it.

Re: It;s been different.
ha ha sounds like Max is a true terrier! He must be experiencing second puppyhood now he's safe and loved. The first thing Mishy did was spill her water bowl. Hence the name MISCHIEF! She would have chewed wee wee pads too if she had had them. Life with Max sounds lively and fun! Don't we love our little terrors because they're terrors?
