Update Andrew and Nimby Vote for this post

Andrew is doing a lot better and getting back to normal but he has only been in the garden since Saturday as want his injury to heal and bruising, also he is sulky as he has not been played with his toys in the evening as we do not want to have him zooming and rolling around just till Saturday to see how his check up goes,Little Nimby sleeps a lot more and in the last month...or seems to be the last 3 weeks really gets a bit more confused and vacant, and even when she has a treat of her own food she does not see or smell it,or sometimes just not interested...which has never been like Nimby...having said that if it is chicken then she still shows interest, then other times is a lot better  and zooms outside...one thing I have seen her do is instead of walking from one soft beddie to another one is that she sort of runs quickly from one to the other!,we have all been there with an elderly pup! and notice every little change ....she sleeps downstairs  now as I do not want her to be on the bed and confused and fall off ,I had thought about a soft webbing cot like Ellie had by the side of my bed but Ellie had lost her sight so she was secure in that,Nimby still sees but has cataracts and will know more the extent of these on Saturday,Nimby sometimes does an odd widdie or like today a poo poo in the house, thats another reason I do not want to contain her in a crate or anything  when we go to bed...I would rather have her know she can wee if she wants in the house and not shut in....she goes into Garden lots  and they are never left in house more than 4 hours on their own,I think this is just  an age thing Bless her...I do not mind at all and never tell her off,its easy to clean up and I can if it gets worse put newspapers down in the living rooms or carpet squares like I did for Ellie,I have had a really busy time at the farm this last 2 weeks and hope to settle down a little next week,my hand is healing slowly but a job with the physical pressure washing  at the farm but its trying to knit itself back together now  so thats good.I have been in touch with the police  and relayed what happened and  someone is coming out to the house for me to give a statement at the weekend so they can also see Andrew and my bite...will keep you posted,I have taken a piccie of Andrew snoozing on his back and Wee Nimby in her chair tonight but will put them on here tomowwow.....Big Hugs to all of you Love Annie and Gang xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Annie, I'm so glad that you and Andrew are healing. I wonder how he'll be when you begin taking him for walks again...The mental part of the attack will undoubtedly take a long time to heal...Reading your update on Nimby brings back so many memories of our first Westie, Jaimie. She was blind and sometimes got mixed up but at night, she always wanted to be with me in bed--her head resting on a pillow, snuggling into my side. After one scary fall out of bed, we got one of those bed rails for children with a mesh insert in it. Both of us felt more comfortable with it and it helped both of us sleep so much better! We continue to send healing prayers for all of you and hope that the Vet gives you some encouraging news on Nimby at her appointment on Saturday. We'll continue to look for updates and send soft kisses for both Nimby and Andrew.
Love, Deb, Emmie, and Angel Kelsie

Oh my word Annie!! Just reading about your attack and so sorry to hear this has happened. I am glad you have reported it to the police and I certainly hope they do something about it, at least give the other dog owner a hefty fine and make sure he pays all your vet and medical bills. Poor Andrew.... and I am so thankful that you didn't have Nimble with you too.  I hope you and Bruvver A are healing up with no infections or other complications.

Dear sweet Nimby Sue, is there anything the vet can give her for her dimentia? I have heard there are meds... how I hate seeing our beloved puppers getting old and feeble and knowing what a heartache you are going through.

I wish your boss would give you a break from the pressure washer so that you can heal properly.... I am afraid if I was there I would be giving him a good scolding for not understanding. I've used high pressure washers and know what they demand of one's body, arms and hands.. actually, he should have a younger person doing that job but I know you are concerned about keeping your work :( and I also know how stubborn you are

I am keeping all of you in my thoughts and sending healing prayers. Hope to hear some good news from you soon, that you and Bruvver Drew are healing, Nimby feeling better and of how the police deal with that scumbag who owns the dogs that attacked you

Much love and warm hugs,
Theo and Willie xoxoxoxox

Poor little Nimby - getting old is so hard, as we both know.  I remember Gremmie, and my MacMan is now gone almost 2 years.  I hope you have more time with good quality of life with her.

And then poor Andrew.  So glad no bones were broken, no organs crushed, at least he will recover.

And poor you.  You are taking care of your babies, but take care of yourself as well.

Annie I am glad to hear you and Andrew are healing.  I will say a special prayer for Miss NimbySue.  It is so hard to watch our fur kids get old.  Glad to hear you notified the police and they are coming to hear what happened and look at what that dog did to you and Andrew.  It will be interesting to hear what they have to say.  That attack should never happened!  Love Louise, Caesar, Judah and Angel Murphy
