New guy? Vote for this post

Don't want to be premature, but we are looking at a cairn on Col. Potter site. He is located in South Carolina. I am looking into transport for him since that is 12-1/2 hours from us. Or he could possibly be flown here. I know that they can be transported but not sure how costly that might be. So what I am asking here is, would any one of my East CoastTerrier Club friends consider being a part of transport. I think I might have the first leg ok, but if any of you might consider getting an adorable young cairn on the way to us, please let me know!
It would be from Columbia SCĀ  to upstate New York, although we could take the last leg. If interested and willing, please let me know. Your "interest" does not imply an obligation on your part ... Just trying to piece together this puzzle!
Thanks so much!

We wish you all the best Cheryl and know that if it's meant to be, Roo will lend a hand in getting your new little one home safe and sound.

Cheryl

I use to do a transport for Karen rescue. If they use 95 as a route over the Delaware  Memorial Bridge
I can pick up at exit 5  on the NJ turnpike there is a Cracker Barrel at that exit.

I could bring up the NJ Parkway to the last rest area northbound. We could meet there.

There is usually a person from the organization that does the transport legs and posts the driving distance and driving time and the transport people report the progress along the way.

Good Luck Love Riley and Allen

Thank you! Will keep that in mind. I know I told them we wanted one no further than 4 hours away, but this little guy is so adorable!

The last dog I got was Roo, as a rescue, at about one year old. Here I was in upstate NY and he was in Little Rock, Arkansas.

I ended up flying to Nashville and Georgia brought him from Little Rock to meet me at the airport. I didn't realize at the time what a wonderful thing she had done!

But anyway, that boy was the best boy ever! I don't know that I could do that again, from here to South Carolina, but if we are seriously considered for Burley, I will try to find a way.
