Roo here reporting from RB:
Mom was contacted by rescue lady. There is a new cairn boy in their program. He is a blondie, about 8 years old, but in good shape. And guess what? He is in Arkansas, same as where me and Zena are from. I am liking him for mom even though rescue sometimes works in mysterious ways. But who knows? They say third time is the charm, so maybe.

Good luck! I saw him and wanted him because he's the perfect age and looks like Mischief. Wheatens are the best color. Their eyes are so soulful. I wish I could adopt him but since I can't, I'm hoping Roo's mom and dad can adopt him! Keeping my fingers crossed!

Same guy? It was my understanding that he is brand new in their system. Are you working with a matchmaker?

I have gotten excited about others before only to find out they had already been committed elsewhere, even before I had gotten answers to questions I had asked. Or they ended up, in many cases, being adopted by their foster homes.

So this is kind of scaring me. Do I really have a chance with this guy, or any other? Am I doing something wrong? Am I going to end up disappointed again? Is there so much going on behind the scenes that I don't even stand a chance ... that I am going thru the motions, all for nothing?

Does anyone have any answers for me?

It was a female, Sunny Days, I saw. No, I'm not in a position to adopt right now. I highly recommend joining the Cairn Rescue Mentoring e-mail list. I've been following CPCRN before they were incorporated and learned a lot from the folks on the CRM list. You'll get a better sense of how the organization works and maybe even find a way to volunteer your time. I helped edit the cookbooks and now I post "Sunday Sweets" on the blog. I shop a lot too. I'm crossing my fingers and toes you can adopt Sam and he will get along with Xena. She sounds adorable, much like my "niece" Rupee (Blue Heeler X)

Robin, this one is not Sam. (Is Sam on their adoption page?) This little guy is not on the page yet. I think he is very new in the program.

My two biggest things to consider are hoping that he is HW negative, and being able to get him transported, like Zena was.

How do I find this list?

Sure thing! She was having a spa day with some of her friends. Lots of giggling going on. It was hard to get a bark in edgewise. And, wow, you should see all the fancy pedis they got...all sparkly and, I have to admit, pretty.

Me and some of the guys got together yesterday for some mud- and worm rolling. It was AWESOME!!!

Andel Roo here: After visiting Chris (that Mom and Dad's grown up hooman kid, Mom and Dad were going bonkers over 2 of their 4 dogs in particular yesterday. They gots 2 of those Queen Elizabeth dogs, those low slung models called a Corgi. There is Sophie who was a good friend to me when she was a little squirt and now she is 12 and then the young whippersnapper girl, she is called Noble, and she's just a kid. (We just call her "Silly!" )

Anyhow, Dad says on the way home that maybe Mom should think about a Corgi kid if rescue keeps stringing her along. And Mom says HMMM, so now she has the name and number of those girlies' breeder and see what she can find out. Mom says she has been tucking away some money for something special and maybe this would be special enough.

Yeah, so here we go again. Stay tuned...
