Lap Dog or Not?
Emmie loves to cuddle and snuggle up beside me, but she doesn't like to sit on my lap like Kelsie did. Curiousity has me wondering if your pup(s) like to snuggle close or sit on your lap?Love, Deb, Emmie, and Angel Kelsie

Re: Lap Dog or Not?
Andrew does like to lay beside me on the sofa and be stroked on his tummy sometimes and likes to sleep on the bed or his soft beddie on the floor,he likes his comfort but not too much interference so to speak and Biba is like a baby will lay in my arms on the sofa with Drew at my side after his cuddles and she loves her tummy stroked and just held lightly and will lay on her back and slowly go for snoozie...then when awake...all guns blazing!! and like a wild thing again till beddie time...she sleeps on the bed but will get off to the sofa right at the side of bed in the bedroom and sleep the rest of night on there...Bless them,we have been out again today in car again with them both and now both zonked !! Hugs and kisses Annie and Gang xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Re: Lap Dog or Not?
Presley is a snuggle bug, he loves to be on my lap and will lay there as long as I don't move, robin on the other hand, is not, she will come to me for a pet and and a quick lick on my arm and then she is off.
Presley is a real mommies boy and loves to be around and near me at all times. robin is very independent .

Re: Lap Dog or Not?
Emmy is most definitely a lapdog, but it has to be ON HER TERMS. If I pick her up from sunning on the floor, she will politely stay in my lap for a short time, then sneak back to her spot.
However, she loves to occupy any empty lap 80% of the time and nestles in so compactly that Evelyn and I get locked in place for hours at a time. Yeah, we love it.

Re: Lap Dog or Not?
Riley loves to sit between my legs on the foot rest in our recliner. He also put his head on my left ankle.
Most of the time he is on top of the back of the couch usually behind our heads, We call it a Riley pillow.

Re: Lap Dog or Not?
I have 2. The boy is a snuggle bug. Our girl Allie is much more independent and is less likely to way to lay on a lap.
However both of them want it to be on their terms too though. Lap time ranks below keeping the yard safe from intruders, going outside, and often ranks below playing amoungst themselves. We're a good option for winding down at night before going to bed - but during the day they'd rather be patrolling around somewhere.

Re: Lap Dog or Not?
Rookie is not a lap sitter but will snuggle in next to us, as close as he can get, often putting one paw on my leg. On the rare occasion he gets on the bed, he will sometimes go to the head of the bed, on a pillow and wrap himself around my head.

Re: Lap Dog or Not?
Mischief was not at all a lap dog. She had her own special chair she would nap in so she could be near us. She would sit in Daddy's lap to get skitches and give kisses but she did not like to cuddle. The funny thing about our furry pals is my "niece" Rupee is a Cattle Dog mix (Shepherd?) who thinks she's a lap dog! She loves nothing better than to get right up in your face and cuddle. Especially when it's 90 degrees and you don't have a/c. She gives big slurpy kisses too.

Re: Lap Dog or Not?
Kelsi preferred to sit next to me on the chair and would sit there until she got too warm, Hannah would sit on me for quite awhile and then get too warm and move. Matilda only for a brief time she gets too hot, Izabella very briefly she gets hot quicker than Matilda. Mum's Mollie will sit on you for quite some time I usually get too hot first and have to move. Mum's Geordie and Foster preferred their own chairs.
