Any Suggestions? Vote for this post

We're going to be introducing Emmie to a new kitten (about 6 months old, but small for her size). Any suggestions on how to go about it? She's used to the 2 cats we already had when we got her but this is something new for us. The kitten is a female and fixed if that makes any difference. Any help will be most appreciated!
Love, Deb, Emmie, and Angel Kelsie

Oh Deb..maybe not much help here, when Ellie found Stig as a wee 5 week old dumped kitten ,we kept her in a large crate while she was very tiny and we had her Nimby Ellie and Emma our collie and Stig used  to walk on a tiny collar and lead round the garden with the dogs to start with and then they all got on with her fine after that..there was never a problem and she used to play and zoom with them and they never chased her...we often wondered because Ellie was topdog that the other two had accepted Stig  because Ellie had given the OK,even though she was going blind when she found her at the gate....but now Stig  can be out in the woods the other side of the fencing and we have to watch she does not come in the garden unless Drew and Biba are on a lead or inside....Stig comes into the big crate in lounge for spells in the evening but she likes to spend time in the harness room underneath the lounge  which is large and cosy with chairs and window seats and heating in,she has litter tray in there and food and water ,also if I am at work or we go out Stig is outside but can get back in through cat flap...sometimes its a real challenge to keep them apart but we seem to have had to do it since we had Andrew and now Biba has followed him in thinking the chase is on!! so to speak...I wondered you see if you could keep kitten in the crate sometimes for short spells maybe in the evening to get Emmie used to her and see and smell her and maybe theen be able to let them together  and see how things are..thats all I can think of...certain people have said to us in the past.....Oh just let them get on with it and sort things out!!.....We know what we know and do not want  a kitty body or a terrier with severe eye wounds...sadly Andrew is just the way he is and cannot be trusted we have had near misses in the past and cannot have those with 2 terriers after her so I have to be extra vigilant,Has Emmie seen Kitten yet?, and is she alright with the two older ones fully...I do hope they bond...Nimby used to love playing tig with Stig and zooming with each other......I will look again tomorrow ...Lots of love and hugs Annie and Gang xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Annie, Emmie grew up with our 2 other cats. They were already here when we got her. Fingers crossed and praying that she accepts this one as one of the gang. Stay tuned!

Deb,I have no suggestions as I don't have cats. If Emmie Sue got along good with your other kitties she just may do very well with this little one and welcome a new little furry pal.
