Having a Ball
Grady just loves BALLS. He has many small balls and enjoys playing with them.Grady is smart and if I don't keep joining in on a game of fetch he will get low and push his small balls under the couch then start barking and scratching the sofa to get me to retrieve the ball that he manages to get way in back of the sofa. I get my trusty fly swatter or any long handled thing to fish out the ball, sometimes just need to move the sofa is easier.UGH! Try doing that 15 times a day or more.As soon as I get it out he has the small balls back under the couch and I do it all over again on bent knees.Guess he has me trained.So I got wise to thinking a bigger BALL would save my patience and my back.  LOL He loves the bigger ball. He gets very vocal grunting, growling and barking while bunting it with his body and paws fetching it back across the room to me. Hope he stayed interested in the ball for a while, it will give me a break in furniture moving.

Ah liddle Grady, what you needs is a cat! Yes, I said a C-A-T. Now normally, da is jus a pest, rubbin under my chin and tryin ta wash me ears, but when it comes ta lost balls, da is da best! Dat liddle kitty, Rosie, are eben small enuf ta crawl under da couch an bat da ball out! Woo!Hoo! We is back in business again. Mommy an Daddy laugh an laugh! Oh Master Gwaaady!! I just Lov Balls,Mummy says I am ball queen...I catch them in the air and the kong ones I have and tennis balls but I also lov the sturdy lightweight wubber balls...Mummy sits on the sofa or floor and throws them lightly at the door and I catch them,I gots some Wubba balls covered in canvas and gots sort of tails on them,Bwudder Drew used to play wiv hedgies and now sometimes mummy throws them vewy lightly and low for him and he catches them....He a Copy cat...or copy Cairn Westie I say...I do not like the bigger balls but I do lots of barking and a Funny shrill whiney noise like a howl if mummy stops playing wiv me ...we must get a team togevver!! We play the same game of fetch and Grady could play until he drops into a froggy flop on the floor with his tongue out. Give him a few minutes and he is back up again tossing his ball into our lap.
Sounds like Miss Bibs has a great collection of balls. We can't do tennis balls as Grady has chewed them open twice and ate pieces so they are out of the rotation. He sure likes anything with a ball end too like in this picture.He's killed the squeaker. but no holes yet. That is so much fun having Andrew joins in on the fetch game. I can just imagine the happy grumbles and grunts they make enjoying their playtime.
