I told off a big dog
Mom and I were walking this morning, I was minding my own business, when a big dog came up from the other side of the street. I have been trained to walk very well on a leash and I do most of the time, will the other dog was jumping and barking, his owner couldn't really control him, but I stood my ground, and gave him my biggest bark and attitude I could come up with. The owner looked at me and my mom, said something not very nice, I on the other hand I lked away, very proud of my self,
I don't like big out of control dogs, I like to put them in there place. Mom was very proud of my.
that will teach them
sandi and presley, buster and robin at the bridge

Re: I told off a big dog
Presley what a brave boy you are! I can't understand some owners that have these BIG dogs and can't control them and then give lip service on how everything is ok while their dog is aggressively trying to get at anyone walking on the street. Two weeks ago we were walking Grady and all of a sudden a big German Shepard leaps out on the attack nearly missing Grady and us on the sidewalk.I had to jerk Grady's lead and scoop him up in a rush running to the street. The Shepard was on a 20 foot long rope with a tie out to the ground.I thought the dog would break loose. Barely looked like it could hold him back. It was illegal for the dog owner to have their dog patrol and have access ON the sidewalk and someone was going to be hurt as this home is on a corner right across from the park and connects to a pubic crosswalk. So we called the city and they got the people to move the dog to the backyard- which is still not fenced in.The GS is in a large Xpen enclosure now...which to me seems cruel.Crazy what people think is acceptable. Grady is STILL anxious ( whimpers and fearful) every time we go by that street. He still hasn't gotten over the trauma of the close encounter.

Re: I told off a big dog
Way to go Presley. So glad it turned out Ok.
I carry mace and inform the owner that I have it.
That usually makes them mosey on.
