Prayers Please! Vote for this post

If you can, would you please spare a prayer for my 92 year old Dad . He has dementia and is in a nursing home. We've only seen him a couple of times since March when COVID hit. The nursing home has done a good job of keeping everyone safe till this week when 2 staff members tested positive. Our county has the highest positive test count per 100,000 people in the state so we figured it was just a matter of time before this happened. Half the people around here won't wear a mask and don't seem to care if they spread the virus or not. It's so frustrating.....So please, send a prayer for my Dad and the other residents and staff of the home and please, please, wear a mask and social distance.
Thank you!
Love, Deb, Emmie, and Angel Kelsie

Sending thoughts and prayers for your father..  We are also in a very high risk area   We have a mask mandate in our city ,but our governor will not issue a state mandate, it is so sad that people are t taking  this seriously.

God bless

Been there, done that, same EXACT story (twice)! My mom did get to see her mother for half an hour outside six feet apart from July up to two weeks ago. My grandmother only moved here in January so it doesn't feel like home to her. She doesn't realize she's 96 years old and has broken both her hips in the last year. She wants to go home... wherever that is... she feels lost and insecure without my grandfather. Is your dad very confused without seeing family? My grandmother calls every day, multiple times, she needs her suitcase, she's packing to go home! She thinks it's February before the shut down because she hangs on to my mom's old letters even though my mom writes a new one every week. My heart goes out to you and I will think good thoughts for your Dad and the other residents.

Sending all our good thoughts your Dad and the other residents way that they can stay safe. In our state we have to wear a mask outside of the house or face a $200 fine for each incident. Although there are some people that are exempt but even most of them try to do the right thing. They are saying masks will be mandatory here well into the New Year. We've been wearing them since mid July can see it becoming an issue for some now the weather is heating up.

Deb I am sending lots of good thoughts and prayers that your father will be safe and that soon you will be able to visit him. These are very hard times we're living in. Good to hear that the nursing home is doing a good job. Good that they are keeping up with the testing and hope all the residents continue to be protected from this Covid.

Hugs Sandra & Master Grady xox
