My Miss Biba...us cairns are active spitfire charmers and we just want to give our folk lots of exercise to keep active...yep we know they love us bunches even when we do the naughtiness. Sending you soggy kisses my huntress....Love you lots...your Master Gradyxoxoxox

Annie Biba sure loves her walkies and hunting out the vermin. A strong prey drive. Having wooded areas must be so great for her to get good exercise, We do neighborhood walks daily and it's not the same. But early on I have been training Grady NOT to sniff or grab things on the sidewalks. A worry if he picked up anything that could make him sick. A quick straight up pull on the lead and a firm NO. Being defiant he still gets these corrections from time to time. Also I do training and use a Drop it command. Using a low hard NO - Drop IT. Always a work in progress as he tests me still with his stubborn behavior.
I know those tantrums can be difficult. We were in the hardware store 2 weeks ago. A big dog goes running by with his owner ...OH BOY that was like throwing a firecracker. Grady gets loud and vocal (whimpering with bear cub cries) and all heads turn. I had him in the cart, wheeled over to a side aisle and calmed him with reassurance all is ok. A snuggle in my arms and he was just fine. He really wanted to get down and play but at the same time startled by the unexpected.
Does Biba calm when you pick her up? Could that help with controlling the tantrum? It does help with Grady but not always a sure answer for him. Works about 80 percent of the time.
