Quirks! Vote for this post

Rookie is pretty mellow but some things set him off, as I mentioned below, he hates the neighboring Amish horses and buggies.

He also reacts to large dark colored dogs on TV. I think it has to do with being attacked by a large black dog and it really freaked him out.

Of course, seeing squirrels sets him off.

And finally, there is an Icy Hot commercial. The spokesman is Shaquille O'Neal. The second he hears Shaq's voice he charges the TV and I literally have to hold him back and distract him until he calms down.

What sets your terrier off?

Riley wants to bolt after some cars when we walk.

If you pause the TV he grows at it and certain voices on the TV will get his attention.

Emmie also wants to "chase" some cars that go past us when we walk. Others, she ignores....Nobody can walk past our place without her barking at them and don't get me started about when the FedEx or UPS truck pulls in the drive.....

For some reason my late Keeley would go crazy when I pulled out the ironing board.  She would charge at it and try to bite it.

In our neck of the woods we have no horse driven Amish buggies ,but can imagine it could startle your Rookie. Our Maddie just loved horses. When we seen one she whimpered to get close. I have a picture of her touching noses with horses. Loved seeing the reaction between them.
Grady has some fear from the neighbors dog pouncing on our fence and goes out right crazy barking from it. He's also not keen with the new doorbell we got.It brings on a zoom barkfest.

Biba runs wild along the hedge in garden when tractors or lorries go up or down the lane...some cars she is fine with, and then land rovers with rattly trailersd she goes wild at...yet a slow horse box goes up and down and she is fine by that engine noise...of course Andrew then follows and copies her!!...anyone who comes to the gate she will zoom to and bark and also other dogs......only last night at 1am she leapt off the bed and into the window seat barking and growling....I got up to see what was the matter...a fox was slowly going down the lane....... A great guard Cairn she is!!LOL..and of course Squillies and bunnies if they see them in the woods ...off they go again like wild things! Hugs and kisses to you all...Annie Biba and Andrew  xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
