Mister Beasley Passed On Vote for this post

Hello Everyone!  Mister Beasley has lived a "great life" and been a Wonderful Friend" On October 11, 2020 Our Boy at age 16 years 3 months said Goodbye, and Went Home to the Rainbow Bridge.
We still feel his beautiful presence even though it has been three months passed. The past two years he became blind. I tried everything. Those 'get ups' that are suppose to help a dog find his/her way around without bumping into things. Maybe they are good for the big dogs but they do not stay "put" with the way a Westie Walks. Mister Beasley found his way around well and never missed his time of "potty" outdoors or on his pads indoors. He proved to me that it was not miserable for him to be blind. Only if he cannot endure it. He did well and never complained. We gave him medicine in his eyes twice a day and added lots of fish oil to his Yogart. He sure did well. I prayed everyday for him to pass in his sleep when his time came but then I just gave it up to the Lord and asked that Gus and I would be able to keep our heads about us when Mister Beasley time came.
Naturally it was a "Sunday". I noticed Mister Beasley sitting up in his crate in such a way as though he was starring at something far off. He did this a while and it was unusual because I never saw him sit so erect before. Then when I returned home from Church, he came to the bathroom where I was and looked at me as though he could check and make sure I was here then visited Gus in the computer room. I guess he was saying " I am leaving now". Soon I heard this vibration and looked about the house to find him and he was no where to be found! Panic Stricken I searched and saw him in HIS room under a spot he has NEVER been under before! He was having a seizure. Something he never had. I called my husband and pulled Mister Beasley out and held him and said to my husband "This is it, we must make arrangements. I asked my husband to give me a piece of sliced turkey and one of Mister Beasley's tranquilizers ( I used those for his vet visits while he was blind) He was calmed down a bit as I held him but he ate it right away. I DID notice for the past three days his stools were very YELLOW like Mustard. I had a feeling he was "CLOSE".
We could not reach our Vet since it was Sunday but we called the back up Vet he recommends a half hour away. They were just so wonderful and Mister Beasley was so totally relaxed in my arms as we drove there. Me singing songs he liked and by the way...(before I left home I ALSO took a tranquilizer) Yup, made the whole thing easier for me too.
Sometimes I think Mister Beasley passes me by or I catch a sight of him going down the ramp in the yard. I smell his hair as I pass his old room.
I have in my heart been changed forever.
I know that I will probably look to make another Westie feel loved someday. I can't wait too long because as we get older it is better to give a Westie who has a few good years left who once had a mommie and daddy who could no longer care for him/her. Perhaps, I don't know but I will wait until like Mister Beasley it happens for a reason. Maybe..Thank you for reading my story. And Thank you ALL for your beautiful stories of Your Rainbow Bridge Experience too. Bless you All.

Know that his journey to the bridge was swift, he was met by all of our furkids who have can before.  He is healthy and running free.  Your mourn his loss, but know that you will meet again one day.  He will be forever in your heart.

We are so sorry for your loss.

I remember when we brought our Westies over for a play date and they all had so much fun running around your yard and going under your deck.

Love Riley and Allen and (Sir William & Boomer) at the bridge

Oh My Goodness Yes it is TRUE. Mister Beasley loved "Miss Lily" I have pictures of them on my deck kind of nosing it! And "Sir William" however would I forget the beautiful three together in my yard!
We all shared your "Westie Birthday Party" for Sir William and Mister Beasley together at your home then at Saddle River NJ. We have spoken about it so many times to people and show them pictures of all the Westies on the back glider on Your deck.
Oh how much you all have been in our minds through the years in memories. Although few, they are RICH with Such Love of Westies. Thank you for remembering Mister Beasley, Gus and I ...hugs.

Oh Beverly, your story brought tears to my eyes....No matter how long they're with us, it is never enough and it's so strange, when they are ready to leave us, they have a way of letting us know that "it's time". Keeping you in thoughts and prayers as you celebrate Christmas without your little guy. God bless Mister Beasley, we know you're surrounded by all of our TC Angels and enjoying  yourself at RB.
Love, Deb, Emmie, and Angel Kelsie

Thank you ALL So very much for your memories and condolences. I have all Westie "everything" in my home. Mister Beasley gifted us with so many wonderful things and I just wish I knew THEN all the knowledge We know now. I can groom and even His hair was remarkably beautiful. The Vet said he never saw a Westie with such a beautiful coat. As you ALL know Westie Living is a "learning curve". I wish we had other Westies to love and share with but happy for now to come to This forum and peek in at all the Love you all share with one another which brings LIFE to Every Westie who has crossed over The Rainbow Bridge.
Thank you!
