Sierra Storms
My sister and brother-in-law live up in the Sierra basin of Lake Tahoe. They were hit with a blizzard storm with 5 feet of snowfall and winds of 65 mph- 100 at the ridge. They had huge Lodgepole pine tree limbs just miss their house ,falling and damaging three of the trees in their yard. Power was out for 16 hours in 13 degree freezing temperatures. More snow came in last night with expecting another 12 to 18 inches. Some residents are still without power. They have been hit hard this year with the huge Calder fire and their town evacuated for two weeks. Now this winter is bringing more hardship and damage. Please send a prayer for them and others that are struggling in their town. Here's a few pictures my sister sent me.
Hugs Sandra & Master Gradyxox

Re: Sierra Storms-Annie
Thank you Annie. They have more snow coming all next week. It's going to be a rough winter in the mountains there.

Re: Sierra Storms
thoughts and prayers going out to your family. the pictures of the white snow and blue sky and stunning, but I know they can come with problems. I can't imagine being without power for over 13 hours.
The wind hear yesterday at the airport was 93 miles an hour. with a temp of 70, the weather is so weird. hopefully not a sign of things to come.
stay safe .
god bless

Re: Sierra Storms-Sandi
Thank you Sandi, my sister told me their power went out again last night with high winds and more snow. Not good with over night low at 14 degrees. Power restored by 9:00 am this morning. I'm worried with them. Hope they don't get any more power outages.

Re: Sierra Storms
Keeping everyone in our thoughts and prayers as they deal with all that snow and wind! It looks beautiful but can be so very dangerous...The weather is so strange all over the country and anyone who didn't believe in global warming has to be a convert by now!Love, Deb, Emmie, and Angel Kelsie

Re: Sierra Storms
That is stunningly beautiful but I can not imagine THAT much snow ever falling at once! The most my region has ever seen is 108.6 inches for the winter of 1014-2015 "snowmageddon" when the subway station entrances in Boston were blocked by snow drifts. THAT seemed crazy to me! I hope your family is safe and warm now. Before I was born, the region got hit with a big blizzard that dumbed over TWO feet of snow (over 3 in some spots) and now everyone freaks out the second they hear snow is on the way. It's 60 degrees here today. Sending some sun and warmth to your sister.

Re: Sierra Storms
Yes the photos are stunnily beautiful but can't imagine being there without power that wouldn't be good at all.
