I have lost my Annabel Vote for this post

Hello, my friends.  I have put off posting this because....well...it has hurt too much.

I lost my precious Annabel on September 24th.  She has been going downhill, since I was in the hospital in January 2021,  A neighbor was taking care of her, but I know she didn't understand why or where I had gone, and I think it broke her little heart.  She was not the same dog, when I got home.  She could no longer jump up on the furniture at all, so I assumed it was arthritis.  I started giving her Yumove, but it didn't get any better.  In September, she got really bad, and when she quit eating, knew...I had always said, that would be my sign, because she NEVER missed a meal...not even after her cancer surgery.  She made it almost 5 years after that...she was so brave.

I got her to help with my grief, if and when I had to lose my Jolly.  I never thought I could love her as much as I loved Jolly....but that little stinker wormed her way into my heart and stuck right by my side for the past 6 years after losing Jolly.  My love for her was so special and my grief is overwhelming.

In the past, when I lost a dog, I got another one right away, which always helped.  I can't do that this time.  I am too old for a puppy and I have been turned down for a rescue....I think because of my age. Jolly and Annabel are together, and I am alone.

Hug your little ones tight and give them a kissie from me.

Love,
Jeanie

Hello Jeanie
I have often wondered how you are doing and this post is so very sad ,I could not reply this morning when I first saw it as too many tears ...I remember Jolly and Annabel so well here..always such pretty girls and so photogenic..we are so very sorry that Annabel has left to join Jolly and now they will both be watching over you and one day you will joined again all of you forever, untill then it is so very sad you cannot get a rescue..there are so many dogs even older just wanting that love and warmth...I hope someone here at the club may be able to help more with this one and nearer to you than us so far away in UK...the sadness and loss when we lose our puppers is so great that often I have wished I could cross over with them...we keep going with the thought that one day I will be with all of them once again.
you must never feel alone Jeanie and please mail or come here to TC whenever and if you want to offload or just chatter..Jolly and Annabel we know will be with you...we blow Sweet soft kisses to Annabel and also kisses for Jolly..Paw in paw they will greet you one day.
Big Hugs Jeanie and let us know on the rescue front..even a Westie who has lost his or her owners may be out there...we will wait to see..All our Love as always Annie Biba and Drew xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Oh Jeanie, this just breaks my heart...So many of us have lost a beloved furbaby (or more than one) and never thought we could love another pup as much as that special lost one but we've all been proved wrong. They have a way of wiggling into our hearts without us even realizing what's happening! Each one is different and I think God sends them to us when we need them the most. Annabel healed your heart after losing Jolly and now those two special pups are together at RB, waiting till the day you are all reunited. Although they are not physically with you, they are still there, watching over you, living on forever in your heart. We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers and hope that you find another dog to help you heal once again. If it's meant to happen, it will happen!
Love, Deb, Emmie, and Angel Kelsie

Oh Jeanie, so very sorry to hear of Annabel's passing.  I remember both of your girls.  they were such cuties.  they always say a dog knows when it is time to go , but it is so hard

I always said I had a "backup dog", when buster passed, I had robin and and she passed i had presley.  He has cancer and I don't know long I will have him, but I don't have a back up dog after that. and I don't know what I will do.  I too also don't want a puppy, but we have two great rescue groups in omaha.  I tell myself that I maybe getting to old ( i turned 73 today) but I hope that when presley passes I will be able to get another little one to love.

Know  that both girls are together now  at the bridge healthy and happy, I am sure they were met be all of our furkids who went before,.

they will always be in your heart, you will meet again one day.
If you need us we re always here for you, don't be a stranger.

god bless
sandi & presley, buster and robin at the bridge

Oh Jeanie I have missed you here and so many times have wondered how you and Annabel were doing.  My heart just broke seeing your post this morning bringing tears to my eyes. We never have long enough with our sweet babies. Your Jolly and Annabel  were such darlings sometimes dressed in sweet outfits but mostly I loved their adorable expressions that just every one could see how much you loved them and they stole my heart too and I have missed you all here. My hopes are that Annabel has united with Jolly and they are having tea parties with my Maddie and Emily over the bridge.
I know that overwhelming grief, that it takes time to be able to share. Many wonderful memories your girls gave to me...thank you for sharing them with us here. Blowing kisses to RB for sweet Annabel and sis Jolly.  Sending Hugs  to you Jeanie .

Oh Jeanie! I am heartbroken for you. I remember when you brought Annabel home. She was so tiny and adorable! I'm sorry you lost her too soon. They never live long enough. I hope a new furry companion finds you soon! Check the shelters. Someone will find you when the timing is right. You are in my thoughts.
