Re: Izabella
Izabella had a 6-7cm abscess on her left rump containing chunks of hardened pus some necrotic tissue around the hole so she had to have that trimmed away. She has a drain in for 6 days the stitches will be removed in 14 days. They do not know what caused the abscess. Poor little lass.

Re: Izabella
Oh Diana your heart must ache with what Izabella is going through.Sweet baby...seeing the picture explains why Izzy was so protective when the Vet was inspecting her abcess on the first visit. Is she having to wear a cone or is she leaving the site to heal without licking it? Prayers she has a good and quick recovery. Please give her gentle hugs from me.
Hugs Sandra & Master Gradyxox

Re: Izabella
Thank you. No she is too interested in the drain. The last thing I need is another visit to the vet or pay more to get it done. She doesn't seem phased by the cone, she has worn one before. We had a restless night last night the vet said I could give her neurontin (Matilda is on it daily for anxiety) for pain so around 3am I gave her a couple and she settled right down and went to sleep. I know I am tired today thankfully it is the weekend.
