She has finally laid down and stopped whining, shaking and bringing up part of her food she ate barely 1/2 an hour ago. Will check with our regular vet tomorrow (as these were prescribed by the dermatologist) but am pretty sure the vet has them on the list of drugs not to give to Matilda. I emailed the dermatologist with an update. So day 2 and we are already having problems. My poor little lass.

The dermatologist wants me to give it another few days and see how she goes in her words 'Regarding the antibiotics, Cephalexin aside the most recent culture results do not leave us with any easy alternatives, which is why Cephalexin was chosen; we are running out of antibiotic choices due to more resistances as we use more antibiotics to treat more infection relapses. If Matilda is persistently unwell on the Cephalexin then stop and let me know. I will go through the potential alternatives with you then"
She had a dose after her food late this arvo and so far so good, if she was going to hurl then she would have done it by now. But it can also put her off her food it that happens then she can't have the tablets as they must be given with food.

Prayers Matilda keeps everything down Diana,I think it was Bibsy that had the Cephalexin antibiotics after her peach stone swallowing operation.. she was not unwell with them though but I do remember they had to be given with food...will look for updates and paws crossed.Hugs Annie Biba and Drew xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
