Re: Izabella and Sadie
Used the Youtube link and it came up great. Oh goodness little Sadie is a spunky rambunctious girl and just what to expect of a little cairn. Izzy is marvelous with her! Letting Sadie play excitedly while Izzy is generously submissive but engaging in the wrestle game.Love the leap that Sadie does as she flies through the air to pounce onto Izzy. Fun to watch them. Thanks for sharing the sweet video.

Re: Izabella and Sadie
They are so funny to watch. A friend asked me the other day did I think Sadie would be top dog I said no Izzy while she plays well with Sadie still lets her know 'not to mess with me' and when she doesn't want to play it's not happening. She is getting better with her every day but will still growl at her if she gets too much. Matilda was the boss and Izzy knew when to yield but have noticed this time around she is very much the boss when it comes to Sadie.

Re: Izabella and Sadie
Yes Izzy is definitely the Alpha dog and setting the limits. They will fastly become the very best buddies. Those little growls are perfectly fine. Keep sharing the lovely pictures when you can. Cairn puppies grow so quickly. I wish I had taken more images of Grady at that age.

Re: Izabella and Sadie
Izzy was a little grumpy last night and a bit too rough she didn't like me growling at her. I don't intervene unless I have to. This morning she seems back to her normal self. At 8.50pm Sadie wandered up the hallway a sign she is ready for bed.

Re: Izabella and Sadie
What an adorable pair of pups making friends! You will LOVE having a Westie and a Cairn, they are so alike and yet very different in some ways.
I remember when we got our two girls Penny and Katy and so many "dog experts" told us two females could never coexist in the same household... they were so wrong! Only a few months apart in age, P & K got along famously for 17 years.
Penny (Cairn) was first in our house so she was technically the Alpha, and Katy was fine with that. However, when push came to shove (particularly over food), Katy was bigger and would hold her ground. In all their years together, there was only one real fight and it lasted a total of about 10 seconds. They were SO wonderful together. Such fond memories we have.
Enjoy Izabella and Sadie!

Re: Izabella and Sadie
I've not noticed any differences apart from colour and Sadie is a little more willing to cuddle than Izzy or Matilda. But I guess early days it has only been just over a week. She loves playing with Izzy. Once we can all go for a walk together things will get much more interesting.
