California Storms Vote for this post

Mark, we've been watching all the coverage of the snowstorms out in California and wondering if you and your family are in that area...Sending lots of prayers for everyone who has been socked in with all that snow! Stay safe out there!
Love, Deb, Emmie, and Angel Kelsie

We are just north of LA and had very heavy rains and wind last week, but no snow here. However, my childhood home about 15 miles away got a dusting of snow for the first time in nearly 50 years; very unusual.

After years of drought, we actually need the rain here in SoCal which so far this year is the highest recorded since 2005. It still won't be enough to bring local lakes and reservoirs anywhere near back to normal, but every little bit helps.

The weather has been historic in the Sierras and central mountains of California. Lots of residents having to be displaced. Homes and building collapsed with the heavy snow fall.My heart goes out for so many in the hard hit areas.
Good your area has not been hit hard Mark and your location is not suffering damages.
