Those are NOT dirty paws! Vote for this post

Emmy just can't decide what color she wants to be. As a puppy, she was a golden color head-to-toe. Then she turned brindle, and now she has a light coat but jet-black tips (ears, nose, paws, and a little patch on her tail).

True to her heritage as a Cairn, she LOOKS like she's been digging in the mud but it's all a ruse - those paws and that nose are squeaky clean and she only digs to get under the covers. Such a little trickster...

Mark we have to give Emmy our POW also for this one..her colours are lovely, all ours as you know have been grey brindles apart from Eric who was born wheaten with dark ears and remained the same colouring all his life.
Emmy is beautiful.

Another POW for the lovely Emmy! Never having a Cairn, I am mystified by the way their coats change! If only my Emmie would decide she didn't have to try every mud puddle she finds! LOL
Love, Deb and Emmie Sue

Emmy you instantly got our POW vote for beauty and cuteness!! I love her color and dark points. Once someone on the board mentioned she liked cairns with ink dipped markings like the expression.I too think  it's a stand out feature and beautiful. You just never know what color they will mature to. Grady is registered as a red brindle. He has so many colors in his coat but getting darker with time except his lower jaw now has a gray wheaten look. I'm sure there will be more changes in the future.
