What a Day!
Emmie is not a happy camper and it can't be helped! We had a horrible storm go through here with 8 inches of rain in a short amount of time. Our sump pump got so hot it threw the breaker and water came into the basement...luckily it was caught in time that we could get rid of a lot of the water before it did damage. Part of our driveway washed away and it will be a couple of days before we can get that straightened out because a lot of the roads are closed. Bridges washed away, a large sink hole opened up and swallowed a pickup truck! Luckily, the winds missed us but hit a few miles away, uprooting trees and several roofs were blown off and a barn, housing 300 dairy cows collapsed! Somehow, the cows all survived and have been taken to other farms till their barn can be fixed. They suspect that this was all part of a tornado but won't know till the weathermen have time to figure things out. Meanwhile, Emmie slept through the whole thing and couldn't figure out why she couldn't go hunting her bunnies today! Things will be better tomorrow and we'll be able to take her for longer walks and let her wander in her garden. Meanwhile, we're playing in the house and counting our blessings that we were spared the brunt of the storm! If you could spare a prayer for those who were less fortunate than us, we'd be so grateful! Hope all are safe out there!Love, Deb and Emmie Sue

Re: What a Day!
Deb sounds horrible! I'm sorry to hear your area had that terrible storm. So much damage it caused and horrible about the dairy farm.Scary about the truck driver in the sink hole.Good Emmie Sue slept through it. So good you got your pump working again. Hope your area is well into recovering and you get a break in the storms. Prayers for the people dealing with all the damages.
