Re: Woo! Hoo! Time Ta Celebrate!
Emmie here, "Oh yes, we is celebratin at my house! Dat nasty lump are all gone!! Yah!!!"Deb here: We were told not to keep checking that lump under Emmie's front leg till half way through the prednisone treatment. It was so hard to not know if the meds were working but last night we were finally allowed to check it and it's gone!!! The meds did their job and I was so happy, I sat and cried! Now we face the decision whether to allow her to ever get the Lyme shot again. We are both leaning towards not allowing the vets to give it to her again after this miserable experience. What would you do? Love, Deb and Emmie Sue

Re: Woo! Hoo! Time Ta Celebrate!
Allen, she had a violent reaction to the shot itself. We had to give her Benadryl to stop her from shaking and a fever. That was scary enough without the lump that came later. We'll have to talk it over with her vet and see what to do next year. My husband has had Lyme for years and it flairs up every now and then so we know how nasty it can be. Darn ticks are everywhere it seems!Love, Deb and Emmie

Re: Woo! Hoo! Time Ta Celebrate!
GREAT NEWS!!! What a relief and yes time to celebrate that the lump is gone..what a worry that was. Goodness what a big decision to make about the Lyme shot. I'm wondering if there is another course of treatment that is offered. Emmie Sue we are so glad you are healed and better!! {hugs)) Sandra & Master Grady
