The Tale of Oscar McTavish

Thanks for all your kind comments on the board and for the many emails. So far there are 9 'Oscar Tales' and more begging to get out!!! My daughter calls them "the mental meanderings of a menopausal mind" - aren't kids wonderful (and why do we have them)?.
The stories were written for my grandson and have never been published although friends have tried to convince me to send them off somewhere to get illustrated and printed.
If the TC has any plans to put together a book with proceeds used to maintain the site or go to rescue I would be happy to see this wee story used (or attempt to write you something different).
Thanks again
Kay
Huge hugs from the real Oscar

WOW! How cool to have your own stories, Oscar! Mommy tells stories about us, but they're not THAT kind! tee-hee She tells the embarrassing kind, like when Fiona tried to eat the toad, ended up foaming at the mouth, barking at the front gate, and spraying the UPS man with frog-foam! Eeeeuuuuuwwwww!!

Remember Richard Adams?? Watership Down started the same way as stories he told to occupy his children's minds on long trips. It was #1 seller for a very long time... but... his book The Plague Dogs is an absolute read, my all time very favourite, have any other members read it??

Oscar's Tails is an absolute must do!! And what a wonderful way to help support Westie and Cairn Rescue. I know you will receive lots of support from the family here.

I've not read Plague Dogs but I found watership Down very hard going. Didn't enjoy it at all.

I found Watership Down rather boring to be honest, but the Plague Dogs is a good read, it'll put you through the full gamit of emotions.
