Sanitary Pants
Have any of you ever used the 'sanitary pants' on your furbabe when she's in heat? I'm rather curious to see if they are worth trying.

Katie did go through one heat before she was spayed. I did use the doggie pants, but I did not like them.
Now, don't laugh, but I did buy 2T underpants for boys. I opened the little hole opening for her tail, and put a mini-pad inside. I bought a few of these, and they worked great. Katie even was very cooperative when it came time to change her underwear. What we do for our babies.
But, I definitely did not like the doggy pants.

I had to wear them then, but, thank goodness, I don't need them now.
I do know when we go on the dog walk, we westies will be a proud bunch, and definitely strutting our stuff.

I also use the pants with a mini pad, got a pair of the 18 month size and cut a hole for the tail (white ones with ruffles on the butt so cute) Bay just stands and lifts her legs for me to put them on her.

I've got a fun story for you. My friend Esther has a female Siberian Husky not spayed called Kira. She wears the pants during her heat. She looks sooooo funny with those pants I can't stop laughing when I see her, sorry Kira, but you know it is true!).
OK, last winter,Esther's youg sister, Laura (6 year old) was alone at home when she decided to take Kira for a walk. She didn't get the diference between sanitary pants and other different "pants".
So she has the BRILLIANT idea of getting her mom's flowered knickers. But she certainly is a smart little girl and thought Kira could make the knickers dirty with her blood, so she took a sanitary towell, as mom and big sis do when they get their period. You had to see the POOR doggie walking along the street wearing that, and the worse thing was that she peed on that "packet"(of course, Laura forgot that LITTLE detail!). Imagine pleople's faces!!! And my own face when I see them! And her mom's face, not as happy as our face, teeeheee...
