Licking and Pulling My Paws
My mommy is wondering why I lick and pull at the fur on the tops of my front paws. I do it a few times through out the day. Is this a bad thing?
Stephie
P.S. Does anyone elses Mommy wipe their bottoms for them? (She says that she doesn't want to get pooh and pee kisses from me. LOL!!) If so....Do you all HAVE to use cold wipes? Mommy needs a wipe warmer!!! LOL!! Sometime I think Mommy is a few cookies short of treat box.

Re: Licking and Pulling My Paws
Try giving her Evening Primrose Oil capsules with her meals. One a day will do. It cools the skin and helps with itchies. As for continually bum-wiping, I'd say that's a bit excessive !! XXX.

Yes my mom wipes my bum too. Especially if I keep sniffing at it. I agree those cold wipes are the pits!!!! hugs, June & Willie

Re: Licking and Pulling My Paws
Yeppers!!! I think Mom has a pooh complex. She is a neat freak!! At least she is nice enough to find the best wipes they make. I have a squeaky clean bottom. I guess it would not be so bad if I had solid poohs. I go potty and when I am done it looks like I got more on me than on the ground!!! LOL!! I tend to eat things that I shouldn't...Every time Mom turns her head...when she looks back...I am eating something. I love to catch and chew on bugs. ALL BUGS!! Any thing that hits the floor..IT'S MINE!!!! Mom almost always catches me. Man she's quick. She also had me learn 'Drop it!' but I don't always listen. My Dr. gave me some meds for solid pooh making, I guess they have a med for almost every thing these days. Well, that's it for now. Talk at you all later.

There must be something the matter if your poop is always runny. What are you eating ? XXX.

Re: Licking and Pulling My Paws
Sounds more like an allergy esp. with loose pooh. What has changed? Certainly bugs aren't going to give loose stools.

STILL Licking and Pulling My Paws
Well, here I am again. Mom found out that the Metacam I was on caused the runny poohs and switched me to that Prednesone stuff. My pooh is much better. Mom is also giving me the Primrose stuff, which I think is YUMMY!!!, but I am still licking and chewing on my feet. What gives??

Re: STILL Licking and Pulling My Paws
It has probably become a habit. When you see her licking her paws tell her NO! and divert her attention to something else, a toy or chewey. She will soon get the idea. xxxBetty and the Girlies...
