Medication question Vote for this post

"Do not give NSAIDs in dogs with Cushingís disease or other diseases where the patient is predisposed to thromboembolisms. (blood clots)."

I saw the above quote when I was researching Metacam for Nana's arthritis. If we haven't ruled out Cushing's totally (Dr. said maybe she could be borderline), I dunno, I'm worried a bit about giving her this. As well, I've read it's in the same family as Rimadyl, and haven't a few here had some serious issues with that one?

The Dr. just dropped this off at the front desk and told us to give it to her, with our follow-up appointment not til next Monday, the 21. Maybe I'm just being paranoid but I don't want to give her anything that will harm her.

Any opinions?

Hmmmm...a tricky one. Metacam worked for Sparky after just a couple of days though. She only needed it for a week.
