Need some advice
What would cause two female westies to suddenly turn on each other? They have been the best of friends for 9 months. I have changed their dogfood to Nutro Ultra Holistic. Could that make the oldest one more "full of herself'?

Re: Need some advice
I had exactly the same experience with two male dogs. They got along just fine for about six months and all of a sudden once the "honeymoon" was over, they decided to go at it. We all lived together for about 7 years but they never liked each other. My saving grace was that it was a poodle and a very large collie. The poodle was smart and didn't push his luck so we didn't end up with all out fights. They just tolerated each other and had a lot of growls and grumbles. I tried everything and nothing really worked. I do hope you get some good advice here.

Re: Need some advice
I've no idea but I have heard 2 females together can be a lethal combination....perhaps it's a one-off...I don't see it being related to food. XXX.

Re: Need some advice
The only thing I can think of is that maybe one of them is having some sort of a health issue that hasn't shown up yet. I'd keep an eye out for something like that, plus I'd "make" them tolerate each other. We don't allow fighting in our house...
