Foods Toxic for Dogs
Here's is one link that details why certain foods are toxic for dogs.
I apologize, I was apparently mistaken about the tomato fruit, it is the stems and leaves that are harmful, not the fruit itself. I am researching this further because I had read something different about this earlier and cannot locate it now.

Re: Foods Toxic for Dogs
I noticed apples weren't in there anywhere. While apple itself isn't poisonous to dogs, the cores are because of the seeds. Never feed a dog apple cores or seeds. The seeds contain arsenic. This is another reason why most people with horses don't keep apple trees in the pastures, the horses can eat enough apples to kill themselves due to aresenic poisoning from the seeds.
