Training troubles
My little cairn is almost 1 year old now - we have been going to school since I have had him - about 6 -7 months of age. He was doing pretty well - learning and progressing along, but now he seems to have forgotten virtually everything he has learned, and everything I have worked so hard to teach him! Anyone else have a similar experience?

Re: Training troubles
Mommy says that is normal. She says I did that when I turned one. If you just stick with it, we will get through it. The book that mommy read before getting me said that they are going through their teenage years and pushing the boundaries. It said to stick with your training and it will get better. It may take a while, but it will. Hope this helps!

Re: Training troubles
We are in the training process. Reilly is 6 1/2 months and graduated from 2 classes. When he is focused, he does well...but, when he is excited, he quickly forgets his commands. We are doing clicker training and we are constantly having to practice with him. It's even more difficult because he is being trained to be a pet therapy dog (mental health). Your puppy will remember the commands and before you know it...will go back to them! I was told that once they learn, they never forget.....Reilly agrees! Good luck!
