Meet our latest Rescue Louie
Meet Louie Dale.
Louie came into Rescue last week, thanks to Kim.
He is an owner surrender. We may have a possible adoption pending.
He is now in Brendas wonderful love and care.
Here is some information about Louie.
West Highland White Terrier Westie
Size: Small
Age: Young
Sex: Male
I.D:
Notes: Louie is new to rescue. Given over to rescue from a family who could no longer care for him, Louie is two years old with a HUGE amount of energy. He also suffers from anxiety, so crating is very, very hard on him and should be avoided if at all possible. He will need a VERY special home where it is calm, but not sedetary. Louie LOVES people and cautious at first of other dogs. He does NOT like cats. (Tested by accident, he failed the test but the cat got away unharmed... whew... ) Perhaps a home that would be willing to work with him or teach him tricks would help build his confidence. He is a sweet little boy, but he just needs someone to help to build up his Westie confidence the breed is known for.
Louie is currently being treated for a bad ear infection and a yeast infection on his paw. We will only take applications at this point. Please apply online at: www.westieresceuofmissouri.com

Here is a little more information about Louie from his foster Mom, Brenda.
What a little sweetheart!!!!
This little boy is 2 years old. He is an owner release that was neutered at a young age so he does not mark. He is totally potty trained and is so sweet. The home he came from was in the midst of some very stressful family events and so he was placed with us. The family stress has been hard on him and he is in need a of a quiet, peaceful home that will take time to help him through separation anxiety and help him build confidence. He gives hugs and gives kisses. I think he may not have had a yard to run in because he never seems to leave my side any farther than a leash would go and he isn't too confident yet exploring the yard, but every day --- every hour he gets a little more confident and will explore a little more.
Teaching him a few commands, like sit and down, stay etc., and giving LOTS of praise and attention will be wonderful for him. He is the kind of dog who wants a master to love and will be a loyal companion for many years.

Oh my, what a looker he is. Poor chap has had a rough start, but being so young he has lots of years for loving and living.
I think this guy would definitely melt the Grumps heart, what do you sat Nancy, Duchess might enjoy having a fellow around......

AJ, where is Louie located? If you can, can you tell us where these little creatures are when you tell us about them? Sometimes someone is travelling somewhere and picking up a dog works like magic, if we know about it.

Louie Dale is currently with foster mom, Brenda (near the Iowa/Illinois Southern border.
His adoptive family is going to drive over 8 hours this week to meet the transport so they can bring Louie Dale home with them.
Louie will have an older Westie brother named Ted.
The family has had their application for a Rescue in for sometime waiting for a little brother for Ted.
Louie Dale will have a wonderful happy new life with his new forever family.

That's great that he already has a home. He looks like a sweet boy, and it would really be a shame for him to have to "uproot" again from a longer-term foster.
