WRM Report 2003
Hi All!
What would I do without Angie? She has reminded me that I am -- once again -- late with my update. And, as I type, I wonder why my shoes smell like doggie-do. Hummmm. My mind works in strange ways. . . .
Back to the topic: WRM update!
In 2003, WRM rescued 143 dogs. Our expenses were over $40,000.
We picked up a number of new volunteers and expanded our coverage to a couple more states.
We went through some growing pains but came out the other side with more respect for each other and with the organization still pretty much intact.
We put the finishing touches on our website and our mailing list topped 500. We opened an on line store.
In 2004, we will be featuring a work by Suzanne Renuard in our on line store. We haven't seen it yet, but we are already excited.
In 2004, we will be adding a newsletter and a calendar of events to our website. We are also planning some regional rescue picnics to meet and renew friendships.
We are revamping Westie Express to better utilize our transport volunteers.
And, I have reached a personal goal: We are finally seeing assessors taxing breeding dogs owned by puppy mills.
2003 was a great year for rescue. And, 2004 looks very promising. But, we couldn't have accomplished anything without the support of wonderful people like you!
