INVITATION TO BILOXI AND COL. POTTERS ****DISCLAIM
Ok, this is our 'yearly' party (some years we may do more than one...) I attended the prior two and had a ball.. and will be going to Biloxi this time WHERE I WILL SEE MADISONS PUPS..

Hello dear friends: PLEASE CROSS POST WHERE YOU CAN!
Once again, Col. Potter Cairn Rescue Network is going to have a CRAP (Cairn Rescue Annual Party OR Cairn Rescue Regalia and Promenade). We want to make sure that all the newer list members know of our big three day event, and to assure you that EVERY ONE is absolutely invited to attend.
This years big three day event will be held in Biloxi, Mississippi the weekend of March 12 (Friday evening, beverages and appetizers on the Beach and a wonderful full course dinner following at Karen and Bill's place, a half a block from the private beach).
Saturday, March 13th, is our WHOLE DAY EVENT. We start at about 11:00, followed by lunch, other planned events (Canine good citizen testing), a Costume parade with prizes, grooming demonstration and tons and tons of items up for direct purchase and silent auctions and live auctions. We have a Southern BBQ planed for dinner, with BBQ ribs, sausage and chicken and all the fixens. Sunday morning we will have a fantastic brunch and farewell with "after Christmas type bargains to boot on remaining items (if any ). The huge tent is rented, with tables and chairs and lights . . . hotels are ready to accept reservations and all of this benefit Col. Potter Cairn Rescue Network.
PLEASE plan on attending (write to Margaret at pjbjn836 @aol.com without the space) and she will give you all the details.
DISCLAIMER: Generally two or three times prior to any event such as our wonderful CRAP Fundraising events, I make it a POINT to restate what our Col. Potter policy is on spending Col. Potter's hard to come by funds on events such as our CRAP'S. I want to make sure that EVERY ONE KNOWS that NOT ONE DIME of income has EVER been spent, NOT EVEN ONE TIME for any board member (or any other member or person of CPCRN OR CRM) to attend a CRAP or any other type social function. ALL board members fly at their own expense, we stay at hotels at our own expense, make phone calls home from hotels at our own expense, buy our food tickets so we can partake on the yummy food at our own expense. It's really important for you all to know that we have NO PAID Board members or Department heads, PERIOD. Not one penny is paid out, and never has been (except for hired services such as our Tax Accountant, not affiliated with CPCRN in any manner, etc.)
I'm sure, that since the complete Board of Directors will be in Biloxi, that the IRS would allow funds to be spent for a Board meeting, however WE WON'T DO IT! NOTHING will be spent. When we plan an event such as this, even the cost of tent, table and chair rental is considered in the cost of the "meal" tickets that we have available, so these funds don't even come out of our treasury. We truly appreciate every single penny that comes into Col. Potter, and everyone works hard to make this stretch as far as we can.
Please help us to spread the word that this is a great time to meet other cairn owners and have a really fun weekend. Biloxi and New Orleans are both "final destination" spots, so you might want to plan an extra day or so. Some folks will be going to New Orleans also on Monday!!!! We hope to see you there.

OH MY GOSH OH MY GOSH OH MY GOSH! Biloxi is the city next to mine!!!!! Its a 5 minute drive!!! I'm going to go!!! This is Amazing!! Something exciting is actually happening where I live! weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

I'm going too... will love to meet you... bring your dogs.. they are more than welcome - I took Edy and Frankie to the one in Michigan last year (as well as my Mom's bichon)..

Yes, well behaved westies are welcome... and by that I mean ones that dont fight...
the same rule goes for cairns..
there's a ton of food, lots of fun, and a bunch of fundraising for Col Potter... as well as a good time meeting folks who love their dogs as much as you love yours.
Write Margaret at the link on the original messaage, PLEASE include your full name. She will then get back with details. CPCRN has a special message board for those attending so we can make plans... like those of us arriving early or staying late to go to the casinos... as well as these GREAT 'can wraps' that are embroidered with a dog...

Janie,
I hope I didnt put you off, I didnt mean to. I took Frankie my westie last year....and he had fun.
I just want EVERYONE (not just you ) to think if their dogs like other dogs... if not, then come but dont bring them..
if they get along wiht other dogs, they will HAVE A BALL as will you.
if I came across any other way, that was unintentional truly.
Last time we had several dogs that were not cairns (I also brought a bichon - my moms.. and we had a schnauzer, and a skiperke (sp)... all got along well... I think last time we had 20-30 people and about 26 dogs.
