AJ's Latest Rescues
AJ has asked me to post the latest rescue information she has. This is Maggie Mae. She's ten and her family gave her up.
Hopefully she'll soon have a new home as AJ says there are plenty of applicatins.

Can someone explain to me how you give up any dog, let alone a 10 yr old dog?!! They are both so cute. Hope they get forever homes.

I re-read my comments the other day and I hope no one took them wrong. I know there are valid reasons for giving dogs new homes - I guess I'm just thinking of the ones that don't have good reasons. Hope I didn't offend anyone.

I don't understand how anybody can give up a dog after having it as a member of the family for so long either. We were fighting to get extra single extra minute of time we could!!! That said, at least they cared enough to deliver the pup to a rescue organization instead of dumping it at a kill shelter!! They are both sweethearts, particularly Maggie. Our first Westie had one ear that was folded down. She was the sweetest dog ever....

And here's Ashley. She's ALL Westie but has been clipped like a Scottie !! She's currently being fostered and will be transported to Omaha very soon.

I just can't imagie giving up that poor little girl after 10 years of faithful companionship. she looks so lost in some of the pictures...and what the heck was with that GROOMER???

I also am flabbergasted when people will give up a dog they have had for so long. It would be like giving one of my kids away - and as far as the groomer, I think mine went to the same school that groomer did! I am going to do it myself from now on! At least I know what a Cairn is supposed to look like.

Little Maggie is just the sweetest girl! Her little tail was tucked under the whole time I was with her and I gather, with AJ as well. I sure hope that with a lot of love, that tail will be up and wagging soon! My hunch is that she has been verbally abused if not physically. She flinched at the slightest movement of the hands. Made me sick to see her cower. So Chester, Mac and I drove her to Omaha to Auntie AJ and she really loved the boyzzz. We wanted to make her as comfortable as possible. She will have a better life now, thank goodness! Thanks AJ and Janeal for taking such good care of her!

Good news about little Maggie Mae!!!
Her cute little tail which was tucked between her legs actually wagged!!!!
She also tried to do a high 10!!!
She is coming out of her shell and learning that life is pretty neat without abuse.
She is a cuddler and such a gentle sweet little soul!!!
