Do you live in AR, MO, IL, IN, OH or PA?
Hi Everyone.
We're trying to find help to transport Patsy, a puppymill rescue, from her foster home in Rogers, Arkansas (this is Northwest AR) to Chicago, Illinois during the weekend of April 24th. Patsys forever home is in Maryland near Baltimore but I have a business flight on the 30th and have made arrangements to stop by OHare and bring her back with me in the cabin to NY where she would continue her journey home. Patsy is spayed and up to date on all vaccines and would be traveling in a plastic crate.
Possible legs for this journey are:
1. Rogers AR to Springfield MO 145 miles- FILLED
2. Springfield MO to St. Louis MO 215 miles - NEED
(this could be split into 2 equal segments if we found 2 people in St. Louis, one going north, one going south)
3. St. Louis, MO to Springfield IL 100 miles NEED
4. Springfield IL to Champaign or Urbana IL 85 miles NEED
5. Champaign IL to Chicago IL 140 miles POSSIBLY Filled
This transport contemplates traveling on I-44, then I-64, then I-55, then I-57, always Northeast.
The other alternative which we are considering is doing a 2 day transport all the way to MD also on April 24 and 25. This would involve the following legs (the first 2 are the same as for AR to Chicago):
FIRST DAY:
1. Rogers AR to Springfield MO FILLED
2. Springfield MO to St. Louis MO 215 miles - NEED
(this could be split into 2 equal segments if we found 2 people in St. Louis, one going north, one going south)
3. St. Louis, MO to Indianapolis, IN 350 miles POSSIBLY Filled
OVERNIGHT IN INDIANA
SECOND DAY:
1. Indianapolis, IN to Dayton, OH 120 miles NEED
2. Dayton OH to 45 miles east of Columbus OH- 120 miles --NEED
3. 45 miles east of Columbus OH to Pittsburgh, PA 145 miles - NEED
4. Pittsburgh, PA to Harrisburg, PA 200 miles NEED
(this could be split in 2 legs if we found 2 volunteers in Harrisburg PA)
5. Harrisburg PA to Silver Springs MD FILLED
This transport contemplates traveling on I-44 to St. Louis and then on I-70 to Pittsburgh.
