Can you help Jake
Please cross-post and let everyone know of this poor pups plight and let the group know if you know someone that can save him. This is from the WI/IL Yahoo Rescue site.

Jake has the misfortune of being a large male mixed breed dog in a kill
shelter down south, but--if that didn't make him unlucky enough........
He has burns from disinfecting chemicals....the animal control officers
inadvertently left the sprayer sitting out by one of the kennels overnight
and it leaked out into his kennel...he not only layed in it and burned his
skin ..but he was licking it off of him and it burned his tongue and down
his throat...He is such a sweety that the shelter staff had to save him...
He had terrible burns all over his legs and side and his tongue and throat
were very bad. The shelter staff (who felt very badly about this) had to
feed almost a liquid mixture of food for weeks... He is doing very well and
healing nicely now, but the staff just got word that they are going to have
to start euthanizing again because they are all full up. It would truly be a
tragedy for Jake to suffered through this trauma, only to be euthanized at
the shelter for lack of space.
Does anyone have room in their foster rescue program--or in their
heart--for this unfortunate fellow? If so, I can arrange to bring him up to
Wisconsin (from the Mississippi shelter where he is presently located).

How awful !!! They surely can't euthanise him after going to the trouble to heal him...that would be just frightful...hope he gets somewhere nice.

Pam that story just breaks my heart I hope someone can help him soon. He doesn't deserve to suffer because of someones mistake. I feel so bad for him. hugs and kisses
