Melanie has passed
Sadly, CPCRN has more bad news. Melanie hadnt been feeling well, and has now passed at the age of 12 to complications from an adrenal tumor.
Melanie became a Florida girl and enjoyed her time at her Florida retirement home. Her foster mom misses her very much.

Very sad news. Sad too that her lifelong family left her behind at 12 years old. Thank goodness she ended up with the Colonel Potter's people....

I will never understand why people just drop off a family member.
Here we would give so much to spend just one more day with our older best friends.
But then for Melanie they may have just done her a favor, because how would have they treated her at the end.

I agree Eve. I would give up anything just to spend another day with Nana, esp toward the end when she will need us most.

This is a very sad day for CPCRN. Dear Melanie, she was loved by her foster family the way she deserved to be. And she had good company on her journey across the Bridge with Paddy at her side.

What a beautiful, dignified girl. I'm sorry she didn't get to enjoy a longer retirement in Florida, but how happy she must be now free from pain and feeling great.
